Jose Ramirez will get a day out of the field and will serve as the Guardians' designated hitter, but even when Ramirez plays third base against right-handed pitching, Manzardo's opportunities could become more limited. The hot-hitting David Fry -- who is out of the lineup Sunday -- has made a case to overtake Manzardo as the Guardians' preferred DH against both righties and lefties.       Advice: Westburg was out of the lineup for two games with a hand injury, but it didn't seem to be bothering him in Saturday's win. He's gone 10-for-22 (.455) with two homers and seven RBI over his last six games, posting three multi-hit efforts in that span. The infielder continues to hit well despite often being in the bottom half of the order.       Andy Pages went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored on Saturday, propelling the Dodgers to a 4-1 victory over the Rockies.

      Advice: It was a much-needed strong performance for Pages, who has three multi-hit efforts over his last four contests after going just 3-for-29 over his previous seven contests. The 23-year-old rookie outfielder has held his own at the highest level since a mid-April promotion from Triple-A Oklahoma City and looks like he’s going to stick around moving forward.       Anthony Volpe went 1-for-4 with a double on Saturday in the Yankees’ win over the Giants.

      Advice: Volpe’s 21-game hitting streak came to an end during Thursday’s series finale against the Angels when he went 0-for-5, but he’s reached base safely in 28 consecutive contests since May 2, which puts him in a tie with teammate Aaron Judge for the longest active streak in the game. The 23-year-old is excelling at the dish in the wake of last offseason’s offensive overhaul to his swing and approach.       Advice: Pages is starting to get things figured out in the majors with three multi-hit efforts over his last four games. That surge has gotten the rookie outfielder back up to a .257 batting average, though his .685 OPS on the year remains middling.       Alonso went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 10-5 loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

      Advice: Alonso doubled in the first then hit a two-run home run in the ninth off Brandon Hughes. While the game was out of reach, the homer was Alonso's 13th of the year and resulted in his third multi-hit effort in his past nine games.       Gray (7-3) took the loss Saturday versus the Phillies, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 10 over five innings.

      Advice: Gray reached double-digit strikeouts for the second time in 10 starts this year, but he received little run support after a shaky first inning. The right-hander has allowed at least four runs in three of his last five outings. For the season, he's at a 3.00 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 77:15 K:BB over 57 innings.       Sonny Gray allowed four runs in five innings and took the loss in the Cardinals’ 6-1 loss against the Phillies on Saturday.

      Advice: Gray gave up five hits, walked three and struck out 10. The Phillies jumped on him early scoring three runs in the first inning. Gray was mostly in charge the rest of the way allowing only one more run and recording 10 punch outs. His 77 strikeouts this season put him inside the top 15 for starting pitchers in all off baseball. The 34-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rockies at home next week.       Garrett Crochet held the Brewers to one run over six innings while striking out eight Saturday in a no-decision for the White Sox.

      Advice: Crochet scattered five hits with one walk. The left-hander continues to impress even while playing for arguably the worst team in baseball, and he’s struck out 19 over his last two outings while allowing just three runs over 12 innings. Any question that Crochet has the stuff to succeed as a starter was pretty silly, but it should have been answered now. The questions of whether he can handle the modern rigors remain in doubt, but right now, Crochet is an excellent fantasy option even if the wins won’t come.
