      Orioles 2B/SS prospect Jackson Holliday went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Thursday for Triple-A Norfolk.

      Advice: Holliday has made some subtle tweaks to his batting stance since returning to the minors and is batting .240/.424/.420 with two homers and two steals in 14 contests since the start of May for Triple-A Norfolk. More impressively, he’s drawn 16 walks and only struck out 15 times during that span. The precocious 20-year-old top prospect is going to get another chance in the majors at some point, but it doesn’t sound like the Orioles are going to rush him back.       Bobby Witt Jr. went 0-for-3 and drove in both of the Royals’ runs in Wednesday afternoon’s loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: The 23-year-old superstar finally got the Royals on the board with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, pulling them to within a run at 2-1. He also plated a run with a ground ball in the eighth inning. On the season, he’s now slashing .293/.359/.500 with five homers, 23 RBI and 15 stolen bases. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:50 pm

      Contreras went 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple and four total RBI in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Pirates.

      Advice: Contreras got Milwaukee on the board with a three-run, opposite-field blast off Martin Perez in the third inning before tacking on a fourth RBI with a triple in the sixth, his first three-bagger this season. While Contreras had gone 18 games without a home run, he's now recorded at least one hit in nine straight contests, going 17-for-36 (.472) in that span. The 26-year-old catcher is now slashing a robust .359/.434/.553 with six homers, 34 RBI, 39 runs scored and three stolen bases through 196 plate appearances this season.       Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the two-time defending batting champion. Manny Machado will function as the team’s designated hitter on Wednesday while Donovan Solano will draw a start at third base and bat sixth against left-hander Austin Gomber and the Rockies.       William Contreras went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Wednesday, leading the Brewers to a decisive 10-2 victory over the Pirates.

      Advice: Contreras is rapidly evolving into one of the premier four-category contributors in the entire fantasy landscape as his latest three-hit performance, his sixth of the season, raises his batting average to an astronomical .359 mark through 43 contests. The 26-year-old backstop crushed a three-run homer off Pirates southpaw Martín Pérez in the third inning and also added an RBI triple a couple frames later as Milwaukee hit five homers in a blowout victory. He’s up to 39 runs scored and 34 homers already to go along with six homers and three steals as well. There isn’t much left to say at this point besides legitimately asking if he’s going to surpass Orioles superstar Adley Rutschman as the consensus top catcher in fantasy at some point in the future.       Rays manager Kevin Cash said Tuesday that Lowe (oblique) will rejoin the team in Tampa Bay and will resume swinging the bat before heading back out on a minor-league rehab assignment in short order, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

      Advice: Cash's comments came after Lowe was pulled off his assignment with Durham when he experienced renewed soreness in his right oblique during his fourth rehab game Sunday. Lowe visited a spine surgeon Tuesday for further consultation on his injury, with Cash noting that further imaging showed the second baseman was "heading in the right direction" with his recovery. Cash said that Lowe may still have to manage some pain moving forward, but the 29-year-old at least appears to have steered clear of a major setback.
