    • Angels cut Cole Tucker from roster
Angels designated INF/OF Cole Tucker for assignment.

Advice: Tucker hit just .180/.263/.300 in 57 plate appearances for the Angels. He still offers plenty of defensive versatility, but it’s just not enough to justify a roster spot. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

    • Returns from injured list
The Angels activated Drury (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Drury wound up being sidelined for nearly six weeks of action with a left hamstring strain but is ready to roll after playing six rehab games. Most of Drury's starts with the Angels will probably come at second base, but first base, third base and designated hitter are options, as well. Rotowire.com 44 minutes ago

    • Getting day off versus lefty
Valdez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Valdez will get the night off while the Blue Jays bring southpaw Yusei Kikuchi to the bump. The freshly activated Romy Gonzalez (hamstring) will get the start at second base in place of Valdez. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago
    • Getting rest against lefty
Smith is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: With southpaw Yusei Kikuchi taking the hill for Toronto, the lefty-hitting Smith will give way to Bobby Dalbec at first base. Expect the two to form a platoon at the position until Triston Casas (ribs) returns from the 10-day injured list, perhaps shortly before the All-Star break. Rotowire.com 59 minutes ago

    • Sitting out Monday
McMahon is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest against the Dodgers.

Advice: It's just the third day off this season for McMahon, who has started to heat back up over the past week in picking up seven hits -- including two homers -- in his last 20 at-bats. Alan Trejo will start at third base Monday. Rotowire.com Today, 2:28 pm

    • Out 4-to-6 weeks
Lawlar is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Lawlar suffered the injury while legging out a triple for Triple-A Reno on Saturday. A Grade 1 strain is the least severe, but it's still going to cost the top prospect at least a month of action. Lawlar has played just 11 games this season, having previously missed time following surgery to repair ligament damage in his right thumb. Rotowire.com Today, 2:25 pm
    • Could be available off bench Monday
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Bichette (calf) could be available off the bench for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Bichette is out of the lineup for the third consecutive game while he works his way back from a right calf injury, but Schneider suggested that the shortstop is trending in the right direction and is scheduled to do "more hitting, baserunning, agility stuff" during a pregame workout. If Bichette responds well to those activities, the Blue Jays could call on him to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Monday's contest. Even if the Blue Jays opt to stay away from Bichette for another day, he would still seem likely to avoid a trip to the injured list and could be back in the lineup as soon as Tuesday. • Sitting out Monday
Blackmon is not in the lineup for Monday's game versus the Dodgers.

Advice: Blackmon has been scorching hot over the last 11 games in slashing .400/.460/.600, but he'll receive a day off as the Dodgers send lefty James Paxton to the bump. Hunter Goodman is at designated hitter and Brenton Doyle has been elevated to the leadoff spot. Rotowire.com Today, 2:20 pm

    • Moves up to leadoff without Betts
Ohtani will start at designated hitter and bat leadoff in Monday's game in Colorado.

Advice: In the Dodgers' first game without Mookie Betts (hand), Ohtani slides up one spot and will be followed by Will Smith, who moves from cleanup to the two hole. Ohtani also hit leadoff once back on May 18 when Betts had a day off. It's the only two times this season he hasn't hit second. Rotowire.com Today, 2:15 pm
