    • Continues crushing Milwaukee
Doyle went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo homer, a walk and an additional RBI during Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: The 26-year-old opened the series with two homers Monday and followed up with two more extra-base hits in Tuesday's contest. Doyle went 5-for-40 over the final 10 games of June but has quickly turned things around after the calendar flipped to July. He's now tied last season's total of 10 home runs and has a .264/.328/.424 slash line with 32 RBI, 49 runs and 20 steals through 81 games. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

    • Locks down save No. 18
Megill allowed one hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The Brewers scored two runs in the top of the ninth to take a one-run lead, and Megill came through in the bottom of the frame for his 18th save despite giving up a two-out single. The right-hander has converted 12 straight save chances and hasn't allowed a run across his past nine appearances. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago
    • Homer, steal in win
Rooker went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Angels.

Advice: Rooker has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 8-for-26 (.308) with three homers in that span. He offers more power than speed -- with Tuesday's performance, he has 16 long balls and three steals across 72 contests this year. The 29-year-old has added a .261/.338/.515 slash line with 48 RBI, 30 runs scored, 15 doubles and two triples as the Athletics' top designated hitter. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago
    • Brent Rooker has jack and a bag in win over Angels
Brent Rooker socked a dinger and stole a base on Tuesday evening as the Athletics triumphed over the visiting Angels.

Advice: The 29-year-old slugger opened the scoring in the ballgame with his 405-foot (108.7 mph EV) solo shot off of Angels’ starter Jose Soriano in the fourth inning. Rooker also drew a walk in the fifth inning and swiped second base, but he was left stranded there. He finished the night 1-for-3 and is now hitting a respectable .261/.338/.515 to go along with 16 long balls, 48 RBI and three stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld 50 minutes ago
    • Trevor Megill slams door on Rockies in ninth
Trevor Megill slammed the door on the Rockies in the ninth inning on Tuesday evening, preserving a one-run lead to notch his 18th save of the season.

Advice: The Brewers rallied to score twice in the top half of the ninth inning, setting the stage for Megill to come on and do his thing. The 30-year-old hurler made it look easy once again, getting Ezequiel Tovar on a fly ball to center and Brendan Rodgers on a swinging third strike to begin the inning. He did allow a two-out single to Ryan McMahon, but battled back to get Elias Diaz on a swinging third strike to end it. Megill has been awesome in the closer’s role for the Brewers this season, converting 18 of his 19 save chances while registering a masterful 1.59 ERA over 28 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 9:14 pm
    • Brenton Doyle homers again in loss to Brewers
Brenton Doyle homered for the third time in his last two games on Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Rockies past the Brewers at Coors Field.

Advice: Doyle got the Rockies on the board an evened the score at a run apiece with his 374-foot (94.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Dallas Keuchel in the second inning. He also smacked a go-ahead RBI double in the eighth inning that briefly gave the Rockies a 3-2 advantage. The dynamic outfielder finished the night 2-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting .264/.328/.424 with 10 homers, 32 RBI and 20 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 9:14 pm

    • Duran earns 13th save in win over Tigers
Jhoan Duran pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Duran now has 13 saves on the season, as he lowered his WHIP in the year to 0.98 thanks to a solid frame against the Tigers, in which he struck out one batter. Duran needed just 13 pitches to get through the inning and has converted four of his last five save opportunities. Rotoworld Today, 8:03 pm
    • Alexis Díaz earns a save in win over Yankees
Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 5-4 win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: Díaz has now converted 11 straight save chances and has pitched to a 1.98 ERA in 14 2/3 innings over that stretch. However, some of the early command issues remain as Díaz has a 13.2 percent walk rate over that same span. He may remain volatile given his subpar command and he doesn’t miss as many bats as your typical closer, but he remains locked into the closer’s role on a solid team and will continue to rack up saves. • Luis Gil’s struggles continue in loss
Luis Gil allowed four runs on two hits in four innings in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: The command simply wasn’t there for Gil on Tuesday, walking three and striking out three while throwing 83 pitches in just four innings. There has been some concern that Gil is hitting a bit of a wall after allowing 16 earned runs in his last 9 2/3 innings. The Yankees maintain confidence in the 26-year-old, but he left a lot of sliders up in the zone today and struggled to command his changeup, so perhaps he is getting a little tired in his breakout season.
