      Ryan McMahon doubled and drew a pair of walks on Wednesday night as the Rockies fell to the Marlins in Miami.

      Advice: McMahon worked a two-out walk off of Roddery Munoz in the opening inning and went to third on a single by Elias Diaz, but the Rockies couldn’t cash him in. He then smacked a one-out double in the sixth inning that pushed Brenton Doyle to third base and helped contribute to the Rockies’ lone run on the day. Considering he logged a combined 44 steals over the previous two seasons, it's unusual that he's been less active on the basepaths. It doesn't help that he's batting just .229 with a .248 on-base percentage for the year, though those numbers improve to .291 and .316, respectively, over the last 16 games.       Advice: Candelario and Stuart Fairchild each homered in the seventh inning, closing a four-run deficit to two. It was the second consecutive game with multiple hits for Candelario, who endured an 0-for-19 slump heading into the series against the Padres.       Alex Bregman went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Guardians.

      Advice: The Astros found themselves down 3-0 after the first inning, but Bregman’s 426-foot blast, which marked his first homer of the season, drew things even at 3-3. It’s been a slow start to the season for Bregman, who entered the day slashing .216/.287/.268. He’s hit safely in four of his last five games and could be on the verge of finally heating up.
