      Advice: Harrison issued a season-high five free passes -- as many as he had handed out over six starts coming into the contest -- but managed to continuously get out of trouble, as none of the batters he put on base via walk came around to score. The southpaw thus managed to emerge with a no-decision, though his high pitch count of 95 offerings limited him to five frames and prevented him from picking up what could have been his fifth quality start of the campaign. Though Harrison has settled for a no-decision in each of his past two appearances, he's allowed just one run while fanning 14 batters over 11 frames during that span.       Kyle Harrison went five innings while allowing one run on three hits with seven strikeouts against the Red Sox on Thursday.

      Advice: It wasn’t always easy for Harrison despite the strong line. The left-hander didn’t find the strike zone on a consistent basis, as he issued five walks with 57-of-95 pitches counting for strikes. Still, the 22-year-old was able to work around those free passes thanks in large part to those aforementioned strikeouts, and he’s allowed just one run over his last two starts.       Clase earned the save over the Astros on Wednesday, striking out one over a perfect 10th inning.

      Advice: Clase entered the contest with a one-run lead in the bottom of the 10th and needed only five pitches to retire the side and secure his ninth save of the season. The right-hander has now converted each of his last five save attempts (over nine appearances), posting a 10:1 K:BB over that stretch.     • Emmanuel Clase earns tenth save vs. Astros
      Emmanuel Clase struck out one batter in a scoreless tenth inning to earn the save against the Astros.

      Advice: After the Guardians took a one-run lead in the top of the tenth inning, Clase was called on to close it out in the bottom of the frame. He struck out the first batter, then got Mauricio Dubón to line into a double play with the help of an outstanding diving catch by Steven Kwan.       Glasnow (hand) is scheduled to start Saturday's game against Atlanta at Dodger Stadium, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

      Advice: Glasnow experienced hand cramps in his most recent start April 27, but he'll be ready to go on six days' rest in a series featuring two of the National League's top teams. The right-hander has gotten off to an excellent start to his tenure with the Dodgers, going 5-1 with a 2.72 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 53:12 K:BB across 43 innings through seven outings.       Schmidt (2-1) took the loss Monday as the Yankees were downed 2-0 by the Orioles, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: A solo shot by Gunnar Henderson in the first inning accounted for all the damage off the right-hander, but his teammates couldn't solve Grayson Rodriguez and the Baltimore bullpen. Schmidt exited after 92 pitches (56 strikes) and just missed recording his first quality start of the season.       Clarke Schmidt allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out five batters in 5 2/3 innings on Monday against the Orioles.

      Advice: Besides a leadoff home run to Gunnar Henderson, Schmidt pitched well against a potent Baltimore offense. After the first inning when he allowed that home run and a single to Ryan O’Hearn, the 28-year-old hurler allowed just one hit in his final four innings.       Advice: After striking out Ozzie Albies to open up the bottom half of the 10th frame, Clase surrendered a walk-off base hit to Austin Riley to bring home the designated runner. The outing snapped a streak of six consecutive scoreless appearances (covering six frames) and three straight perfect innings. Still, Clase is tied for the sixth-most saves in baseball with eight.       Advice: Blackburn was lit up by the Orioles, allowing four extra-base hits, including three home runs. He was on the hook for his second loss until the A's salvaged the come-from-behind win. Following a flawless start to the season that saw him allow no earned runs spanning 19.1 innings through his first three starts, Blackburn has progressively regressed over his next three starts, allowing 13 runs over that 15.2 inning stretch.
