      The Twins are expected to reinstate Lewis (quadricep) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's series opener versus the Yankees, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Lewis has been on the shelf since suffering a right quad strain in the Twins' March 28 season opener, but the standout infielder looks to be on the cusp of rejoining the big club. He began a rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul on May 25 and has thus far made five starts in the minors, going 3-for-19 with a double, a stolen base and two runs. According to Park, Lewis is scheduled to start at third base for St. Paul in Sunday's game against Rochester, and if all goes well, the 24-year-old should get the green light to return from the IL.       Advice: Phillips got the call to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 11 pitches (seven strikes) to slam the door. The 29-year-old righty picked up his first save since returning from the injured list ahead of Friday’s series opener and remains one of the better closing options in the entire fantasy landscape.       Phillips pitched a perfect inning and struck out one to earn the save in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: This was Phillips' first appearance in nearly a month due to a hamstring strain. He looked rust-free, throwing 11 pitches (seven strikes) to set down the bottom of the Rockies' order for his ninth save of the season. Phillips has a 0.61 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB over 14.2 innings, and he's yet to take a blown save this year. It doesn't appear he'll be eased into the closer role again, not that he needs to be handled with kid gloves considering his track record in high-leverage spots over the last two years.       Romano (elbow) had an MRI on his right elbow Friday night, which didn't reveal any structural damage, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

      Advice: Romano was placed on the 15-day injured list with inflammation in his throwing elbow, but he appears to have avoided a significant injury. The 31-year-old will be shut down from throwing for a few days before Toronto will determine what direction the team will go from there.
