Over his last 12 games, Ohtani's slugged six homers with 12 RBI and seven multi-hit efforts. He's slashing an electrifying .358/.426/.676 with 32 RBI, 36 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, 16 doubles and a triple through 204 plate appearances while occupying the No. 2 spot in the Dodgers' stacked lineup.       Shohei Ohtani hit a two-run homer to help the Dodgers prevail 7-3 over the Reds on Friday.

      Advice: Ohtani scored twice in the contest. It’s the 13th homer for the 29-year-old, and it came in the third inning with Mookie Betts on base. His first season with the Dodgers have been nothing short of spectacular, as he’s now slashing .358/.426/.676 with 32 RBI to go with those roundtrippers. The backstop was productive throughout the night while reaching safely on three occasions overall, and he's now hitting a stellar .368 (14-for-38) with four home runs and 13 RBI across his last 11 contests.       Jhoan Duran gave up an eighth inning home run to José Ramirez and took the loss on Friday night.

      Advice: Duran entered this game tied in the eighth inning against the top of the Guardians’ order and allowed the game-winning run. It would’ve been interesting to see how the Twins managed Duran had he got through the inning cleanly: he’s yet to pitch more than an inning this season and hasn’t thrown more than 18 pitches.       Joey Ortiz hit a three-run homer while going 3-for-4 in a loss to the Astros on Friday.

      Advice: Ortiz also doubled, with the only damper on the evening being a caught stealing. The former Baltimore top prospect has been a big part of Milwaukee’s success, as this is the fifth homer for the 25-year-old and he’s slashing .296/.397/.561 for good measure. It was understandable for those who were skeptical of Ortiz as a fantasy option coming into the year, but this is no longer all that small of sample. It’s time to take him seriously.       Jeremy Peña hit a three-run homer to help the Astros to a 5-4 win over the Brewers on Friday.

      Advice: Peña came up huge for the Astros with a three-run homer off Freddy Peralta that gave the Astros their 5-4 lead in the fifth inning. The shortstop has enjoyed a strong first six-plus weeks of the season, as he’s gone deep five times while slashing .326/.364/.469.     • Freddy Peralta allows eight hits, five runs in loss
      Freddy Peralta was charted for five runs over five innings while picking up a loss to the Astros on Friday.

      Advice: Both Hunter Brown and Peralta gave up all of their damage via the long-ball in this contest, and in Peralta’s case, he gave up a two-run homer to Jake Meyers and a three-run blast to Jeremy Peña. Outside of those blasts the right-hander was mostly effective, but damage done. It’s the second time in five starts he’s allowed at least five runs, and a 1.90 ERA on April 19 has ballooned to 4.17.
