      Bryan Reynolds went 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI, and two runs scored on Friday against the Mets.

      Advice: Reynolds was all over the Mets in this one. His two-run homer in the fifth inning pulled the Pirates ahead and his seventh inning grand slam broke this game open. It was the second time in his career he’s homered from both sides of the plate in the same game and he pulled his OPS up to .831 with 16 homers and 54 RBI. He is a perpetually underrated stud.       Rays recalled RHP Shane Baz from Triple-A Durham.

      Advice: Finally, the 25-year-old right-hander will make his highly anticipated 2024 regular season debut on Friday evening against the Rangers. Baz made 10 starts at Triple-A Durham while building up his stamina, registering a 4.12 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and a 44/23 K/BB ratio across 39 1/3 innings of work. He’ll probably only go five innings in Friday’s start against the Rangers, so fantasy managers should temper expectations for a victory in his first start.       Ian Happ had two more hits and two more RBI against the Angels in Friday’s win.

      Advice: Just like last night, it was again Happ and Seiya Suzuki, who hit a two-run homer, doing the heavy lifting for the Cubs offense. They both have .806 OPSs at the moment and, given the state of the NL outfield poor, legitimate cases for All-Star nods.       Tommy Edman (wrist, ankle) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Double-A Springfield on Tuesday.

      Advice: Edman is set to take live batting practice on Friday and Saturday before heading out to finally begin his minor league rehab assignment. Given the long layoff, he’s probably going to need quite a few games there before he’s deemed ready to join the Cardinals. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him back until after the All-Star break.       The Rays recalled Baz from Triple-A Durham on Friday, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

      Advice: He will start Friday in Texas against the Rangers, taking the rotation spot vacated by Aaron Civale, who was traded to the Brewers earlier this week. Baz will be making his first major-league start since July 2022, as he missed the entire 2023 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. The young right-hander had been heating up at Durham in June, collecting a 1.57 ERA and 35:10 K:BB across 23 innings.       Hamilton went 1-for-5 with a walk, an RBI, two runs and two stolen bases against the Marlins in Thursday's 6-5 extra-innings victory.

      Advice: Hamilton scored Boston's first two runs of the contest, then collected a go-ahead RBI on a groundout in the 12th frame. The infielder also recorded two swipes of third base, moving him up to fourth in MLB with 23 stolen bases (on 24 attempts) for the season. Though Hamilton has seen his playing time dry up a bit of late, he has continued to produce fairly well.
