• Ryan McMahon reaches three times in loss Wednesday
Ryan McMahon doubled and drew a pair of walks on Wednesday night as the Rockies fell to the Marlins in Miami.

Advice: McMahon worked a two-out walk off of Roddery Munoz in the opening inning and went to third on a single by Elias Diaz, but the Rockies couldn’t cash him in. He then smacked a one-out double in the sixth inning that pushed Brenton Doyle to third base and helped contribute to the Rockies’ lone run on the day. He’s off to a blistering start at the dish this season, slashing .324/.408/.505 with four homers and 18 RBI through his first 30 games. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Oswaldo Cabrera powers Yankees past Orioles
Oswaldo Cabrera swatted a two-run homer off of Corbin Burnes on Wednesday night, powering the Yankees to a 2-0 victory over the Orioles in Baltimore.

Advice: Cabrera accounted for the only scoring for either team in the ballgame, poking a 352-foot (103.3 mph EV) two-out, two-run homer just over the wall in right field and just inside the foul pole to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning. He also singled in the ballgame and swiped a base, finishing the night 2-for-3. On the season, the versatile 25-year-old is now hitting .262/.300/.417 with four homers, 18 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

  • Slam Diego: Jake Cronenworth powers Padres to win
Jake Cronenworth blasted a tie-breaking seventh-inning grand slam on Wednesday, powering the Padres to a 6-2 victory over the Reds.

Advice: Cronenworth put San Diego ahead for good with a towering grand slam to right field off Reds standout reliever Fernando Cruz in the seventh inning. It was his fifth long ball of the season and lone hit in three at-bats. The 30-year-old on-base machine has helped hold things together this season as a mainstay in the heart of San Diego’s lineup. • Spencer Steer snaps homerless streak Wednesday
Spencer Steer clobbered a solo homer on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Padres.

Advice: Steer kicked off the scoring with a solo shot to left-center field -- his fourth round-tripper of the season -- off Padres starter Joe Musgrove in the opening frame. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 6, snapping a bizarre 22-game homerless drought. The versatile 26-year-old on-base machine is batting .252/.364/.450 with 18 runs scored, four homers, 22 RBI and eight stolen bases through 31 contests. Rotoworld Today, 3:47 pm

  • Sitting against southpaw Wednesday
Garcia is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: With lefty Andrew Heaney on the hill for Texas, the lefty-hitting Garcia will move to the bench Wednesday. Ildemaro Vargas will pick up the start at second base in place of Garcia, who has now sat out three times -- all against southpaws -- in the last four games. Rotowire.com Today, 3:24 pm
  • Not in starting lineup
Newman is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's outing versus the Dodgers.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder will get a break with Blaze Alexander starting at shortstop Wednesday as the Diamondbacks finish out their series against Los Angeles. Newman has started at shortstop in six of Arizona's last 10 games and is slashing .157/.189/.314 on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 3:15 pm

  • Won't start against lefty
Lux is not included in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Lux will begin the matchup in the dugout as the Diamondbacks start their third straight lefty in Jordan Montgomery on Wednesday. Miguel Rojas will get his second consecutive start at second base and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 2:59 pm

  • Michael Massey homers, knocks in four for Royals
Michael Massey had a three-run homer and an RBI groundout Wednesday as the Royals topped the Blue Jays 6-1.

Advice: Massey’s 357-foot homer off Nate Pearson put the game away in the eighth. The second baseman also homered Tuesday. He was held out of the starting lineup three times in his first 10 games back from a season-opening IL stint due to back tightness, including once against a righty, but as long as he keeps hitting, he should hold off Adam Frazier and be a fixture against righties. He’ll still likely do some sitting versus lefties. Rotoworld Today, 2:49 pm
  • Willi Castro goes 3-for-5, steals base
Willi Castro went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and a stolen base Wednesday as the Twins took down the White Sox 10-5.

Advice: Castro has really warmed up, going 16-for-35 with eight RBI in his last eight games. That’s raised his OPS from .538 to 789. He was in line to lose playing time due to Carlos Correa’s return, but the hot streak has changed that, and now that Byron Buxton is down, there’s little doubt that Castro will stay in the lineup for a while. He’s an option for teams in need of steals. Rotoworld Today, 2:27 pm
