    • George Springer finds power stroke in win
      George Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-4 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: It was Springer’s sixth home run of the season and first since June 4th. Springer only has three home runs since April 24th, so we’re not looking at a power surge here. It’s also Springer’s first multi-hit game since June 3rd. It’s certainly nice to see, but the 34-year-old is still just 13-for-78 (.167) in June so we’ll need to see a few more games like this before we believe he’s figuring things out.       Anthony Santander slugged a solo homer on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

      Advice: Santander went deep off Guardians reliever Sam Hentges in the eighth inning of this one. He’s homered 12 times since the start of June and is up to 21 round-trippers on the year already. He's trending upward with multiple hits in two over his last three games, and he ended a 25-game homer drought with his fifth-inning blast Monday.       Advice: It was a quiet game for the Dodgers offense against White Sox starter Garrett Crochet. Ohtani hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to give Los Angeles a 3-0 lead. It was his 58th RBI on the season. He trails only Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna for the National League lead in RBI. Ohtani is hitting .318 with a 1.021 OPS on the season.       Ohtani (elbow) played catch from 90 feet Monday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

      Advice: Ohtani is throwing from 90 feet for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery last September. He continues to progress in his rehab with no issues, and he's certainly shown no ill effects at the plate as a result of his ongoing recovery from the elbow issue. The Dodgers haven't ruled out the possibility of Ohtani playing the outfield at some point in 2024, though that still seems like a long shot.
