    • Jackson Chourio collects two hits in win Sunday
Jackson Chourio went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored as the Brewers triumphed over the Padres in San Diego on Sunday afternoon.

Advice: The 20-year-old outfielder wasn’t even in the Brewers’ starting lineup for this one, but still managed to have a strong day at the dish. He entered as a pinch-hitter for Tyler Black in the seventh inning, where he singled to right and came around to score on an RBI single off the bat of Jake Bauers. Chourio also doubled off of Jhony Brito in the ninth inning, but was stranded at third. He’s now slashing .230/.278/.362 with seven homers, 27 RBI and eight stolen bases on the season. • Expects to be out four weeks
Stanton said Sunday that he expects to be out for roughly four weeks as a result of his strained left hamstring, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

Advice: Stanton landed on the 10-day injured list Sunday and received a platelet-rich plasma injection to aid in his healing process, but it doesn't seem like the slugging outfielder is on track for a speedy recovery. Trent Grisham could be a candidate to start nearly everyday for the Yankees while Stanton is sidelined, especially if the team decides to use Aaron Judge as its primary designated hitter going forward. • Sidelined through All-Star break
Toro (hamstring) will be out at least through the All-Star break, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Toro landed on the injured list Saturday due to a Grade 1 strain of his right hamstring, and the A's have already determined that his absence will extend into the second half of the season. Tyler Nevin figures to see the majority of reps at third base until Toro returns, though Aledmys Diaz and Armando Alvarez may also pick up a few starts. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:06 pm

    • Stanton diagnosed with mild hamstring strain
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone said after Sunday’s game that Giancarlo Stanton was diagnosed with a mild left hamstring strain.

Advice: The 34-year-old slugger received a PRP injection on Sunday as well and told reporters that he expects to spend around four weeks on the injured list. That leaves a gaping hole in the middle of the lineup that the Yankees will need to fill for the next month or so. In 69 games on the season, Stanton has hit a respectable .246/.302/.492 with 18 homers and 45 RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:05 pm

    • Abraham Toro (hamstring) out until second half
Abraham Toro has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain.

Advice: It’s the best-case scenario outcome for Toro, but he’s still going to be sidelined until after next month’s All-Star break. The 27-year-old infielder hit the injured list earlier this weekend after suffering the ailment during Friday’s game against the Twins. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:01 pm

    • Sitting out third straight
Kepler (neck) isn't in the Twins' lineup for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Advice: Neck spasms will cause Kepler to miss his third game in a row Sunday, though he still doesn't seem to be trending toward a trip to the injured list. Manuel Margot will pick up another start in right field and bat leadoff. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:25 am
    • Idle Sunday
Chourio isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Chourio will get a chance to clear his head Sunday after going 3-for-17 with four RBI and two runs scored over his last five games. Sal Frelick, Blake Perkins and Jake Bauers will start across the Brewers' outfield while Christian Yelich serves as the DH. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:06 am

    • Moving back into rotation
Turnbull is scheduled to join the rotation and start Wednesday against the Tigers in Detroit, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: He'll be taking over the rotation spot that previously belonged to Taijuan Walker, who was placed on the 15-day injured list with right index finger inflammation after developing what manager Rob Thomson termed as a "hot spot" on his pitching hand. Though an injury of this sort wouldn't seem to portend a lengthy absence for Walker, Turnbull could end up sticking around as the Phillies' No. 5 starter once Walker is healthy, so long as Turnbull comes close to recapturing the excellent form he displayed as a member of the rotation earlier this season. The Phillies have stated that they plan to monitor Turnbull's workload this season after he missed all of 2022 while recovering from Tommy John surgery and a large portion of 2023 due to neck discomfort, but the 31-year-old right-hander has made it difficult for the club to stick to that plan while he's performed so-so as a reliever (4.26 ERA, 14.1 K-BB% in 10 appearances) but exceptionally in his six starts (1.67 ERA, 20.5 K-BB%). His upcoming start against his former Tigers club will be his first since April 30, but Turnbull worked three scoreless innings (49 pitches) in his most recent relief outing Friday and is being targeted for around 70 pitches Wednesday, per Thomson. • Max Kepler out third straight game with neck issue
Max Kepler (neck) remains out of the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Kepler will sit out his third straight contest on Sunday afternoon due to an ongoing neck issue. There’s been zero indication that he’ll wind up requiring a trip to the injured list, but we’re not willing to rule it out. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:54 am
