    • Carlos Correa hits grand slam in loss to Astros
Carlos Correa hit his third career grand slam Friday against the Astros.

Advice: The slam was off Josh Hader in the ninth, but the Twins still came up a little short after scoring seven runs in the final frame of a 13-12 loss. It was Correa’s 11th homer this year., and he’s been one of the AL’s best players while batting .307/.377/.514. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • Slugs grand slam
Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Friday's 8-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Hoskins opened July in an 0-for-13 skid before the grand slam in his second at-bat Friday. The blast gave the Brewers a 5-2 lead, but they mustered just one hit after that. Hoskins is slashing .218/.311/.402 with 12 homers, 42 RBI, 27 runs scored and two stolen bases over 270 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:40 pm

    • Rhys Hoskins hits grand slam in loss to Dodgers
Rhys Hoskins connected on a grand slam, but the Brewers fell to the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Hoskins took Tyler Glasnow deep with the bases loaded in the fourth to give Milwaukee a 5-2 lead. It also gave Hoskins his 12th homer of the season and brought his RBI total to 57. The power numbers aren’t too shabby. The .218 average leaves an awful lot to be desired. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:45 pm

    • Delivers walk-off homer
Machado went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double and three total runs scored in Friday's 10-8 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The Padres blew a five-run lead in the top of the ninth inning, but Machado saved the day with his walk-off blast. He had started to go cold, going 2-for-15 over his previous four games, but he's now slugged five homers and added 11 RBI over his last nine contests. The third baseman is at a .270/.320/.425 slash line with 12 long balls, 49 RBI, 42 runs scored and five stolen bases through 84 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:34 pm

    • Manny Machado hits game-winning homer in ninth
Manny Machado hit a walkoff two-run homer to give the Padres a 10-8 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: The Padres trailed 8-7 in the ninth, but after Jurickson Profar took Paul Sewald deep to tie the game and Jake Cronenworth walked, Machado blasted a two-run shot off Sewald for the game-winner. The 32-year-old star has a dozen homers and 49 RBI on the season, but none bigger — at this point, anyway — than the ones he procured Friday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:33 pm

    • Luke Raley hits two-run double to help M’s top Jays
Luke Raley hit a two-run double to help the Mariners to a 2-1 win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Raley gave Seattle a 2-0 lead with a two-run double off Kevin Gausman. The first-year Mariner has nine doubles on the season while driving home 25 runs. Raley has been one of the more consistent hitters for Seattle, but that’s a bit of faint praise considering his slash of .249/.294/.430. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm

    • Blows save, earns win
Helsley (3-3) earned the win and blew a save against the Nationals on Friday, allowing one unearned run on two hits and a walk with no strikeouts over two innings.

Advice: Helsley was summoned to protect a 6-5 lead in the 10th inning but allowed the automatic runner to score. He was brought back out with another one-run lead in the eleventh and was able to secure the win in his first multi-inning effort of the season. On the year, the closer leads the league with 31 saves and owns a 2.41 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 47:17 K:BB over 41 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:12 pm
    • Max Fried can’t stop Phillies’ bats
Max Fried allowed 11 hits and five earned runs in six innings of work on Friday against the Phillies. He struck out four and walked one in a loss.

Advice: This was a pivotal game for the Braves as they try to claw their way back into the NL East race and Fried simply did not have it. He lived in the heart of the zone and the Phillies made him pay time and time again. They had base runners in five out of six innings and looked incredibly comfortable in the box all night. Fried was fortunate to get through this start with only five earned runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm

    • Coughs up five runs
Fried (7-4) allowed five runs on 11 hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Phillies.

Advice: Fried worked through three scoreless frames before beginning to unravel. He gave up three runs in the fourth inning and two more in the sixth. Of the five runs he allowed, four came via a pair of two-run shots from Trea Turner. Fried had given up just three runs over his previous three starts but saw his season ERA jump from 2.91 to 3.18 after Friday's hiccup. His next start is lined up to be in Arizona.
