    • Goes deep off bench
Naylor went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Giants.

Advice: Naylor didn't start the contest, but he pinch hit for Austin Hedges with two on and two outs in the sixth inning. That proved to be a smart move from manager Stephen Vogt, as Naylor delivered a go-ahead homer, his first long ball since June 22. The catcher hasn't flashed a ton of power this year with five homers and a .338 slugging percentage over 64 contests. He's added two stolen bases, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored, nine doubles and a triple while batting .205 on the season. Despite going hitless in seven of his last 11 games, he continues to see a majority of playing time behind the plate. Rotowire.com Today, 8:15 pm

    • Corbin Carroll hits first homer in two months
Corbin Carroll took the Padres’ Dylan Cease deep Sunday for his first homer since May 7.

Advice: Carroll hit the ball 397 feet, his second-farthest shot this year. It’s the first time since that May 7 homer that he’d hit one over 370 feet. Carroll has just one 400-foot blast this season, compared to 21 last year. We still wouldn’t say there’s a whole lot to be encouraged about here. Rotoworld Today, 4:47 pm
    • Stays hot Sunday
Seager went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 13-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Seager's hitting streak is up to 12 games, a span in which he's gone 17-for-46 (.370) with eight extra-base hits, eight RBI and eight runs scored. The shortstop's fourth-inning homer turned this game into a romp for the Rangers. Seager is slashing .271/.352/.473 with 16 long balls, 43 RBI, 40 runs scored and one stolen base through 77 contests overall. Rotowire.com Today, 4:18 pm

    • Pre-break return possible
Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Sunday that Assad (forearm) could be activated from the injured list prior to the All-Star break, Mike McGraw of the Chicago Daily Heraldreports.

Advice: The right-hander landed on the shelf in late June with a strained forearm, but he wasn't shut down from throwing for long and had a bullpen session Friday. The Cubs have a doubleheader Saturday in St. Louis, and that would be a logicial point for him to be re-insterted into the rotation ahead of the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 4:06 pm

    • Paul Skenes headlines pitchers for N.L. All-Stars
Pirates’ rookie right-hander Paul Skenes was named to his first National League All-Star team on Sunday, despite having logged just 59 1/3 innings at the big-league level.

Advice: It’s the first of what should be many All-Star game nods for the studly 22-year-old hurler who has gone 5-0 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and a 78/12 K/BB ratio through his first 10 MLB starts. He’ll be joined on the N.L. All-Star squad by fellow pitchers Ranger Suarez, Tyler Glasnow, Shota Imanaga, Reynaldo Lopez, Logan Webb, Chris Sale, Zack Wheeler, Ryan Helsley, Tanner Scott, Robert Suarez, Matt Strahm and Jeff Hoffman. • Expects to play Monday
Correa (finger) expects to be in the lineup Monday versus the White Sox, Audra Martin of Bally Sports North reports.

Advice: Correa exited Sunday's 3-2 win over Houston with a bruised right finger in the first inning, but he explained to Martin after the game that he doesn't expect the injury to sideline him moving forward. The shortstop will look to bring his expectation to fruition in Monday's series opener on the road against the White Sox. Rotowire.com Today, 2:40 pm

    • Seager homers, drives in three against the Rays
Corey Seager went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run, and three RBI in a 13-2 win over the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: There was plenty of talk about Seager’s early-season struggles, but the 30-year-old is now hitting .271/.352/.473 with 16 home runs and 43 RBI heading into the final week before the All-Star break. With Wyatt Langford surging and both Marcus Semien and Adolis Garcia likely to figure out their current slumps, this Rangers offense could get hot in the second half, and Seager will be right in the middle of it. • Carlos Correa (finger) expects to play on Monday
Carlos Correa (finger) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he expects to return to the Twins’ starting lineup on Monday.

Advice: Correa was pulled from Sunday’s game after being hit by a pitch, but fortunately X-rays came back negative for any structural damage and he’s merely dealing with a right finger contusion. If the 29-year-old shortstop says that he’s good enough to play on Monday, then chances are he’ll be in the Twins’ lineup for their series opener against the White Sox in Chicago. • Naylor has huge pinch-hit home run
Bo Naylor went 1-for-2 with a pinch-hit three-run home run in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Naylor was called on to hit for Austin Hedges in the sixth inning with the Guardians trailing 3-2. He responded with a 378-foot home run that gave the Guardians a lead they would never give up. The 24-year-old is hitting just .205 on the season with five home runs, so he’ll need to do this a little more often to get back on the fantasy radar. Rotoworld Today, 1:52 pm
