    • Swipes bag in loss
Adames went 1-for-4 with one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 8-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Adames is up to 11 steals on the year, but he hadn't attempted one in his previous 21 games. In that span, he hit just .192 with three home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. The shortstop has endured another challenging campaign with a .234/.321/.402 slash line, 13 homers, 57 RBI and 46 runs scored over 89 contests, but his lackluster hitting hasn't cost him a starting role. • Homers in win
Suzuki went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 5-1 win over the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Suzuki got the scoring started Friday with a two-run home run off Griffin Canning in the first inning. The 29-year-old has now homered four times over his past 10 games with eight RBI and eight runs scored. He has been a solid contributor across the board in 2024, hitting .262 with 12 home runs, 36 RBI, 36 runs scored and eight steals over 275 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:59 pm

    • Lasts four innings in no-decision
Gallen did not factor into the decision in a win over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out four.

Advice: The Dodgers put Gallen to task early, drawing 85 pitches out of the right-hander over four innings, with all three runs coming against him in his final frame. It marked Gallen's shortest outing of the season outside of his injury-shortened appearance May 30 against the Mets, and he's now allowed three runs in three of his last four starts (excluding May 30). It was also only the third time this season in which Gallen issued three walks. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:12 am
    • Posts big offensive line Thursday
O'Neill went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, a run, two RBI and two stolen bases in a 6-5 extra-innings win against Miami on Thursday.

Advice: O'Neill accounted for three of Boston's eight total hits to record his third consecutive multi-hit effort. He came up big in extra frames, recording an RBI single in the 11th inning and adding the game-winning RBI on a double in the 12th. O'Neill also collected two thefts in the contest after notching just one steal (on one attempt) over his first 60 games of the season. Swiping bags probably won't become a trend for the outfielder moving forward, though it's worth noting that he stole 29 combined bases across the 2021 and 2022 campaigns while with St. Louis. • Swats homer in victory
Pena went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk in Thursday's 5-3 victory against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Houston and Toronto combined for 19 hits in the contest, but only two went for extra bases, and Pena notched the lone long ball with his solo shot to left field in the seventh inning. The shortstop has hit two homers and two doubles during his current four-game hitting streak, and he's driven in three runs while scoring four times during that span. The recent upswing in power is a welcome sign for Pena's fantasy managers after he went deep just five times across his first 80 contests of the campaign. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:16 pm

    • Zac Gallen lasts just four innings versus Dodgers
Zac Gallen allowed three runs over four innings Thursday in his start versus the Dodgers.

Advice: The results weren’t great, but Gallen’s velocity tonight was even better in his first start back from the IL; he averaged 95.9 mph on his fastball, up from 95.2 mph last time out and 92.9 mph in the 11 starts before he went on the IL. Because of the diminished velocity, we were a bit down on him before his hamstring injury. He seems like a better bet now, though. Rotoworld Thursday, 9:29 pm
    • McMahon hits RBI double in win over Brewers
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-4 with an RBI double against the Brewers on Thursday.

Advice: McMahon started the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning. It was his 18th double of the season. McMahon is hitting .265 with a .793 OPS and 44 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:59 pm

    • Takes fifth loss
Morton (5-5) allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings to take the loss versus the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Morton continues to alternate between good and bad starts, with this one not being particularly sharp. He threw 54 of 94 pitches for strikes and served up home runs to Heliot Ramos and Matt Chapman in the fourth inning. This was the first time all year Morton has been taken deep multiple times in a start. He's been generally effective with a 3.96 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 92:38 K:BB over 91 innings across 16 starts. The veteran right-hander is projected to make his next start at Arizona. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:58 pm

    • Morton allows three earned runs in loss Thursday
Charlie Morton allowed four runs (three earned) in 5 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Morton gave up five hits, walked two and struck out five. He had won two of his last three starts. Morton gave up a two-run home run to Heliot Ramos and a solo home run to Matt Chapman in the third inning. In the sixth inning, Chapman got him again for an RBI double. Morton has a 3.96 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 91 innings this season. The 40-year-old right-hander is set to face the Diamondbacks on the road next week.
