The right-hander has been very reliable as of late, hurling a perfect inning in each of his last three appearances while lowering his June ERA to 2.00. On the downside, McArthur has managed just a 4:4 K:BB this month over 10 appearances (nine innings) and hasn't recorded a strikeout in either of his last two outings. While saves have come at a premium for an Angels team that rests 12 games below .500, Estevez has made the most of his opportunity and is on pace for career lows in ERA and WHIP.       Carlos Estévez struck out two in a scoreless ninth for his 15th save Tuesday against the A’s.

      Advice: Estévez came up one batter shy of completing a closer’s perfect game; he’d retired 26 straight over nine outings before giving up a single to Tyler Soderstrom tonight.       Clase earned a save against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks with one strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

      Advice: Clase was called upon to protect a 10-8 lead in the ninth inning and did so on just 14 pitches. Clase has eight saves in June and leads the American League with 25 total saves in what has been an amazing 2024 campaign.       Emmanuel Clase tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday against the Orioles to record his 25th save of the season.

      Advice: Clase was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning at Camden Yards and managed to work around a one-out double from pinch-hitter Cedric Mullins to notch another save.       Megill earned a save against Texas on Monday, striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning.

      Advice: Megill hit a batter with two outs in his inning of work, but it didn't cost him any runs. The right-hander was able to notch his 10th straight successful save conversion -- he hasn't blown an opportunity since May 20. Megill has proven to be a more-than-adequate fill-in for rehabbing closer Devin Williams (back), as he's tied for eighth in MLB with 16 saves (in 17 opportunities) while posting a 1.85 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB through 24.1 innings.       McArthur earned a save against the Marlins on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

      Advice: McArthur entered in the ninth frame with Kansas City up by three runs and made quick work of Miami, retiring the side in order on 10 pitches. That netted him his first save since June 6 and his 13th overall this season. McArthur's 18-day span between saves was of no fault of his own -- he didn't see any save opportunities during that stretch, and the only save by any KC pitcher during that period came in a game during which McArthur was used in a high-leverage spot and ended up with the victory.
