    • Fernando Tatis Jr. day-to-day with triceps contusion
Fernando Tatis Jr. is day-to-day with a left triceps contusion, the Padres announced.

Advice: Tatis left Friday’s game after he was in the elbow by a pitch. If he can’t play Saturday, then José Azocar will probably play right field. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago

    • Dealing with contusion
Tatis left Friday's game with a left triceps contusion, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Tatis exited the game two innings after being hit by a pitch in his arm. He appears to have avoided serious injury, though it's unclear whether imaging has already occurred -- if required. Rotowire.com Today, 9:15 pm

    • Reaches base four times
Abrams (wrist) went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, an RBI, a stolen base and a walk in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Advice: Abrams returned to the lineup after missing the previous two games and wasted no time making an impact, ripping a double on the first pitch of the game. He knocked an RBI double later in the game. The 23-year-old shortstop is heating up again; he's gone 13-for-28 (.464) with six extra-base hits over his last eight games. In 12 games prior to that, he posted a .510 OPS with no multi-hit performances. Abrams is now slashing .267/.320/.487 with 33 extra-base hits and 11 steals. Rotowire.com Today, 8:57 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. leaves game after hit by pitch
Fernando Tatis Jr. was pulled from Friday night’s battle against the Brewers after he was hit by a pitch on his left elbow.

Advice: The 25-year-old superstar remained in the game to run the bass for himself and even played another couple of innings in the field, but he was ultimately lifted for a pinch-hitter the next time that his spot came around in the Padres’ lineup. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to rule out any potential fractures. Stay tuned, as the Padres should have an update on his status after the game. Rotoworld Today, 8:26 pm

    • Exits after HBP
Tatis was removed from Friday's game against the Brewers after being hit by a pitch on the elbow, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Tatis was hit by the pitch in the third inning, though he stayed in the contest for two more frames before being pinch-hit for. There are no further details available at this time. Rotowire.com Today, 8:24 pm

    • Was available Friday
Manager Aaron Boone said Torres (groin) was available Friday against Atlanta, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Despite being available, Torres never entered the game, leaving his status for Saturday's contest ambiguous. Jahmai Jones or Oswaldo Cabrera would likely enter the lineup if Torres is forced to miss a second consecutive game. Rotowire.com Today, 7:29 pm

    • Josh Naylor with two hits and two RBI
Josh Naylor went 2-for-4 with a double, single, and two RBI on Friday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Naylor, known for hitting the ball hard, started the Guardians seven-run second inning with an 11 pitch at-bat that wound up as a cheap double and ended the rally with a dribbler that plated two runs. But hey, that’s baseball. Naylor seems to be heating up with hits in nine of his last 11 games. Rotoworld Today, 6:49 pm

    • Will Smith absent from Dodgers lineup on Friday
Will Smith is absent from the Dodgers’ starting lineup for Friday night’s opener of their two-game Freeway Series against the Angels in Los Angeles.

Advice: It’s a bit surprising to see the 29-year-old slugger sitting against a left-hander, but there hasn’t been any word yet about Smith dealing with any sort of injury. He did start three of the four games against the Rockies in Colorado, so perhaps it’s just a day of rest. Austin Barnes will do the catching for the Dodgers on Friday night and will bat ninth against Patrick Sandoval and the Angels. Rotoworld Today, 3:37 pm

    • CJ Abrams (wrist) returns to Nationals’ lineup
CJ Abrams (wrist) returned to the Nationals’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: The 23-year-old shortstop had missed the team’s previous two games due to a Ganglion cyst near his left wrist. He feels good enough to give it a go on Friday night though and will return to his customary leadoff spot in the lineup against Dakota Hudson and the Rockies at Coors Field on Friday evening.
