• Jorge Soler (shoulder) continues rehab assignment
Jorge Soler (shoulder) will play another minor league rehab contest on Thursday for Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Soler went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Wednesday in his rehab assignment debut. The 32-year-old slugger checked out fine after being hit in the head by a deflection during batting practice earlier this week and should be ready to return to San Francisco’s lineup at some point in the near future. He landed on the injured list earlier this month with a right shoulder strain. Rotoworld Today, 5:30 pm

  • Chas McCormick playing Friday at Triple-A
Chas McCormick (hamstring) will play in another minor league rehab game on Friday for Double-A Corpus Christi.

Advice: There was some hope that McCormick would be ready to return to Houston’s outfield mix on Friday, but he’s going to play in one additional rehab contest before a decision is made. The 29-year-old has gone 2-for-11 in three rehab games so far. He’s been out since early May due to a right hamstring strain. Rotoworld Today, 5:21 pm

  • Timeline to return unclear
Crawford (oblique/hand) didn't travel with the team to Baltimore, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Crawford was hit by a pitch in the hand during a minor-league rehab assignment Wednesday and was still sore and swollen one day later. He doesn't have a clear timeline to return, and he managed only six plate appearances with Triple-A Tacoma prior to the new injury. Rotowire.com Today, 5:06 pm

  • Jackson Holliday homers Thursday at Triple-A
Orioles 2B/SS prospect Jackson Holliday went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Thursday for Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: Holliday has made some subtle tweaks to his batting stance since returning to the minors and is batting .240/.424/.420 with two homers and two steals in 14 contests since the start of May for Triple-A Norfolk. More impressively, he’s drawn 16 walks and only struck out 15 times during that span. The precocious 20-year-old top prospect is going to get another chance in the majors at some point, but it doesn’t sound like the Orioles are going to rush him back. It’s extremely encouraging that he’s making adjustments and showing improvement right now. Rotoworld Today, 4:56 pm
  • Return imminent
Heyward (back) rejoined the Dodgers on Thursday but was not activated from the injured list, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Heyward began a rehab assignment Tuesday and appeared in two games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, during which he went 0-for-6. Manager Dave Roberts said Heyward is ready to return soon, so it's likely he'll be activated at some point during the Dodgers' weekend series against the Reds. Rotowire.com Today, 4:18 pm

  • Andy Pages not in Thursday’s lineup vs. Reds
Andy Pages is not in the lineup for Thursday’s series opener against the Reds.

Advice: Pages will get a night off to reset mentally after going 0-for-9 with six strikeouts over his last two games against the Giants. The 23-year-old rookie has gotten off to a nice start for the Dodgers through 26 games, but is starting to hit his first real rough patch. It’ll be interesting to see how he responds. • Jonathan India (migraine) out Thursday vs. Dodgers
Jonathan India (migraine) remains absent from the lineup for Thursday’s contest against the Dodgers.

Advice: India will miss his second straight contest after being scratched from Wednesday’s lineup due to a migraine. It’ll be Santiago Espinal making another start at the keystone in his absence. Rotoworld Today, 3:16 pm

  • Day off Thursday
Pages isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Pages has struck out six times in his last nine at-bats, so the Dodgers will give him a chance to regroup Thursday. Teoscar Hernandez will shift to right field as a result, allowing Chris Taylor to pick up a start in left while batting seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 3:14 pm

  • Idle against lefty
Muncy isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.

Advice: With left-hander Brent Suter set to open Thursday's game for the Reds, Muncy will retreat to the bench. While he sits, Enrique Hernandez will man the hot corner and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:10 pm
