JP Sears bounced back with QS against D-Backs
JP Sears allowed three runs over six innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Friday.
Advice: Sears was atrocious against the Twins on Saturday while allowing nine hits and eight runs in 1 1/3 innings. He wasn’t perfect Friday, but calling this an improvement is quite the understatement. The southpaw struck out six, and he held the D-Backs to just two runs through five before a Lourdes Gurriel Jack to tie the game in the sixth and keep Sears from picking up the win. The outing lowers his ERA to an even 5.00, and he’ll look to build on this start when he faces the Angels on Thursday.
