    • Corey Seager’s three-run homer leads Rangers
Corey Seager hit a three-run homer in the eighth to lead the Rangers past the A’s 4-2 on Monday.

Advice: The Rangers were still scoreless until Seager took Lucas Erceg deep in the eighth. They then added an insurance run in the ninth. The homer was Seager’s third in 33 games this season. He’s obviously still way off his 2023 numbers, but not in such a way that he’s a particularly weaker bet for the rest of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:31 pm

    • Slugs another three-run homer
Harper went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run during Monday's 6-1 win over the Giants.

Advice: Harper tagged Mason Black for a three-run home run in the sixth inning, marking the first baseman's second straight game with a three-run shot. In his last 11 games, Harper is batting .250 with four homers and has showcased quality plate discipline, drawing 13 walks and striking out 11 times. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:27 pm

    • Turns tide with three-run homer
Seager went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Monday in a 4-2 victory against Oakland.

Advice: Texas was down 2-0 heading into the eighth frame before Seager turned the team's fortunes around with a two-out, three-run blast to center field. It was a much-needed big moment for the star shortstop, as he came into the contest batting just .190 in May and .228 overall on the season. After slugging 33 homers and driving in 96 runs last year, Seager has just three homers and 13 RBI through 33 games in 2024. Monday marked the first time he has driven in multiple runs in a contest since Texas' second game of the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:10 pm

    • Bryce Harper hits three-run homer against Giants
Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in the win over the Giants on Monday.

Advice: That’s two three-run homers in two days. He’s actually hitting .375 with five homers and a 1.398 OPS with RISP this season, which one would think might lead to more than 24 RBI through 32 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:07 pm

    • Evan Carter out Monday against Athletics
Evan Carter is out of the starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Carter will get a day of rest against southpaw Alex Wood. While Carter sits the Rangers will have Ezequiel Duran play left field and hit seventh. Josh Smith also gets the day off for the Rangers with Davis Wendzel getting the start at third. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:57 pm

    • Sitting versus southpaw
Carter is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: The A's are sending southpaw Alex Wood to the hill, so the left-handed hitting Carter will receive a day off. Ezequiel Duran is getting the start in left field Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:56 pm

    • Christian Yelich (backs) takes BP on field
Christian Yelich (back) was able to take part in batting practice on the field before Monday’s game against the Royals.

Advice: Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters that this was likely the final step before Yelich can return to the lineup. That could mean Yelich won’t take part in a rehab assignment, and assuming he recovers well from this session, the 32-year-old could be back in the lineup by the end of the week. • Hits on field Monday
Yelich (back) did some hitting on the field Monday, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

Advice: It's the first time Yelich has hit on the field since he went on the injured list three weeks ago with a lower-back strain. Brewers manager Pat Murphy had indicated previously that it would likely be the final step before Yelich returns to action, although it's not clear whether he might need to go out on a rehab assignment first. The 32-year-old was off to a .333/.422/.744 start with five home runs in 11 contests before getting hurt. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:12 pm

    • Gets stitches removed
Alvarez had the stitches removed Monday from his surgically repaired left thumb, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Alvarez underwent surgery April 23 to address a torn UCL in the thumb on his glove hand. At the time his surgery was performed, the Mets estimated that Alvarez would need eight weeks to make a full recovery, so he appears unlikely to return from the injured list until around late June. A more precise target date for his return should come into focus once he resumes taking batting practice and performing defensive drills. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:56 pm
