The outfielder is up to a .349/.402/.639 slash line with six homers, 24 RBI, 14 runs scored, six stolen bases, four doubles and a triple over 34 contests this season.       Advice: The White Sox releasing Pillar after a 4-for-25 start, only to watch him hit .431/.459/.759 with five homers in his first 17 games for the Angels, is undeniably the funniest thing to happen in 2024. There’s no reason to expect Pillar to keep this up — and we still wouldn’t recommend him in mixed leagues — but it’d be hilarious if he somehow pulled off a career year at age 35.       Jesús Luzardo lost Tuesday after allowing three runs in six innings against the Padres.

      Advice: Even a third straight scoreless outing wouldn’t have gotten Luzardo a win tonight, as the Marlins were shut out by the Padres. At this point, Luzardo is just playing out the string until an inevitable midseason trade. He’ll take a 2-4 record and a 4.18 ERA into his next start versus the Rays.       Advice: This was Yates' first save since May 8, as opportunities have been few and far between for saves recently.       X-rays on Lindor's left index finger came back negative after he injured it on a bunt attempt during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

      Advice: Despite injuring his finger during the first game of Tuesday's action, Lindor was still able to play in the nightcap and go 1-for-4. The 30-year-old shortstop is dealing with a bit of swelling in his finger, so it's possible he sits down for a day or two until the swelling goes down; however, a long-term absence seems unlikely.       Advice: Yates had to tightrope out of danger to earn the save in this one. The righty allowed a two-out walk to Eugenio Suárez only to see a single by Gabriel Moreno move Suárez into scoring position. Fortunately for Yates, a strikeout of Kevin Newman would end the game and secure the win for the Rangers, who have now won back-to-back games after dropping their previous six.       Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

      Advice: Ozuna took Matt Barnes deep 413 feet at 107 mph off the bat to score the first run of the game. It was the only run the Braves would need. The home run was his 16th of the season to go along with 48 RBIs.
