    • Strikes out 11 in loss
Bibee (4-2) took the loss to the Reds on Wednesday, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Bibee surrendered a solo home run to Jeimer Candelario in the first, then he was taken deep by him again for a three-run shot in the sixth. Otherwise, Bibee mostly looked fantastic with a season-high 11 strikeouts and a stretch where he retired 11 straight hitters. On the season, Bibee owns a 3.94 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 87:20 K:BB through 13 starts and lines up for a home matchup against the Mariners next Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:08 pm

    • Tanner Bibee strikes out 11 in loss to Reds
Tanner Bibee had mixed results in Wednesday’s loss to the Reds, giving up four runs on just four hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander piled up 11 strikeouts during the impressive outing while issuing only one base on balls. Unfortunately, two of the four hits that he allowed left the yard — as Jeimer Candelario belted a solo homer in the opening inning and a go-ahead three-run shot that chased Bibee in the sixth. The 25-year-old hurler got a whopping 16 swings and misses on 102 pitches on the night — seven on his slider alone — while registering a CSW of 33 percent. He’ll look to get back in the win column as he carries a 3.94 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and an 87/20 K/BB ratio (75 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Mariners. • Michael King strikes out 12 on Wednesday vs. A’s
Michael King struck out a season-high 12 and allowed two runs over five innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Athletics.

Advice: King turned in one of his best outings of the year, generating an eye-popping 19 swinging strikes -- including 15 combined on his changeup and sweeper combination — and finished with a near-elite 39 percent CSW. The 29-year-old righty has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts since May 4. He’ll bring a solid 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 95/34 K/BB ratio across 83 innings (15 appearances, 14 starts) into a challenging road matchup on Tuesday against the red-hot Phillies. • Fires seven innings
Kirby allowed a run on five hits over seven innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out four during the win over the Royals.

Advice: The lone run to score on Kirby came via a sacrifice bunt in the fifth inning. After a shaky stretch in May, he's back to looking like his usual self recently; over his last three starts, Kirby has posted a 2.00 ERA and 21:1 K:BB. He was in line for the win after his seventh quality start of 2024 before the Royals tied up the game in the ninth inning. Kirby is now sporting a 3.81 ERA with a terrific 78:7 K:BB through 80.1 frames. His next start is lined up to be at home against the Rangers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:32 pm

    • George Kibry strong for seven against Royals
George Kirby pitched seven innings of one-run ball Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Kirby was in line for the win when he left, but a two-run lead was blown in the bottom of the ninth. Kirby has allowed a total of four runs in his last three starts, lowering his ERA from 4.33 to 3.81. He went without walking a batter today, and his K/BB stands at 78/7 through 80 1/3 innings. • Tyler Anderson allows four runs in loss to Astros
Tyler Anderson was tagged for four runs over six innings on Saturday in a loss to the Astros.

Advice: Anderson’s run of five consecutive quality starts since May 11 came to an end in this one as Jose Altuve and Jake Meyers delivered early run-scoring singles before Yordan Alvarez took him deep for a two-run blast in the fifth inning. He finished with three strikeouts and only issued one walk. He’ll bring a strong 2.63 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 53/33 K/BB ratio across 82 innings (13 starts) into a road tilt on Thursday against the struggling Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:13 am
    • Yields four runs in loss
Anderson (5-6) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings to take the loss versus the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Anderson gave up two runs in each of the third and fifth innings. He threw 60 of 90 pitches for strikes, but this was the first time in five starts he allowed more than one run. It was just the second time he's been on the hook for four runs this year. The southpaw is at a 2.63 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 53:33 K:BB over 82 innings through 13 starts in 2024. Anderson's surface stats look close to his career year from 2022, but his 4.70 FIP and .218 BABIP suggest he's been very fortunate in 2024. Given his high walk rate, Anderson is a risky pitcher to roster in fantasy over the rest of the season. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:51 pm
    • Drops contest against Dodgers
Cortes (3-5) took the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Cortes gave up a pair of solo homers among the seven total hits Los Angeles tallied against him, and the four runs he yielded tied a season-high mark. The lefty hurler did at least manage to keep New York within striking range -- though the game ended in a blowout, most of the Dodgers' damage came after Cortes' departure. Cortes is hanging onto a respectable 3.68 ERA on the season, though his current 8.7 K/9 is on pace for his lowest mark since a four-appearance cup of coffee as a rookie in 2018. • Nestor Cortes shaky again in loss to Dodgers
Nestor Cortes gave up four runs while working 5 1/3 innings in a loss Saturday to the Dodgers.

Advice: Cortes gave up two homers, one to Teoscar Hernandez and another to Enrique Hernandez (note: no relation). The left-hander continues to pitch at an inconsistent level, but his 3.68 ERA and 1.12 WHIP help tell the story that there’s been more better than bitter. He’s scheduled to face the Royals on Thursday. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:04 pm
