    • Luis Rengifo hits two-run homers against Astros
      Luis Rengifo had a two-run homer and an RBI single versus the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: Rengifo definitely wasn’t Ron Washington’s favorite player at the beginning of the year, but he’s been one of the best Angels thus far, having hit .316/.366/.474 in 124 plate appearances. Statcast thinks he’s way overachieving, given that his exit velocity numbers are significantly worse than his career marks, but things will probably even out there somewhat; his .840 OPS won’t quite hold up, but his exit velocity numbers should get better.       Gurriel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Dodgers.

      Advice: Gurriel snapped a 26-game homer drought with his eighth-inning blast. The outfielder has gone 11-for-45 (.244) over his last 12 contests, adding just five RBI and five runs scored in that span. He's at a .236/.284/.385 slash line with six homers, 27 RBI, 24 runs scored and two stolen bases over 44 contests this season. He's never posted a batting average lower than .261 or an OPS lower than .743 over a full season, so there's room for Gurriel to turn things around in 2024. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:32 pm

      Rengifo went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases in Monday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

      Advice: Rengifo has gone 4-for-18 with three steals, one RBI and two extra-base hits over four contests since he returned from an illness. The infielder is slashing .312/.364/.450 with two home runs, 12 RBI, 15 runs scored and 12 thefts through 32 games this season. Rengifo's running far more this season, and his defensive utility gives him some extra upside in fantasy even if it's unlikely he maintains his steady hitting. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:30 pm

    • Luis Rengifo swipes two bags against Astros
      Luis Rengifo had two hits and two steals against the Astros on Monday.

      Advice: The second steal saw him jam his left hand into second base, leaving him with an injured middle finger in spite of the oven mitt he was wearing. He was in a lot of pain at first, but he was able to finish the game afterwards. Still, if he’s not in Tuesday’s lineup, this is probably the reason. Rotoworld Monday, 8:24 pm

    • Profar has two-hit game Monday
      Jurickson Profar went 2-for-4 against the Braves on Monday.



      Advice: It was a quiet night for the Padres offense as they were shutout, but Profar’s hot hitting continued. He’s up to .339 with .944 OPS on the season. Once the top prospect in all of baseball, Profar is enjoying easily his best season in his 11th year in the major leagues.

      Profar went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Profar began his evening with a first inning walk before rounding the bases on a home run from Jake Cronenworth. He later doubled in a run in the fourth and eventually scored again to make it a 7-0 game. Profar remains as locked in as anyone at the plate. He's currently riding a seven-game hit streak during which he's slashing .400/.500/.560 with four RBI, five runs and a 5:4 BB:K. For the year, the 31-year-old is on pace to put up career numbers across the board, hitting .335/.422/.522 with seven homers, 31 RBI, 27 runs and a 24:27 BB:K in 187 plate appearances.     • Jurickson Profar collects three hits in win Sunday
      Jurickson Profar went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and a pair of runs scored in a lopsided victory over the Braves on Sunday night.

      Advice: Profar started a rally in the opening inning by drawing a two-out walk off of Bryce Elder. He then rode home on Jake Cronenworth’s two-run blast. He then smacked an RBI double in the fourth inning that extended the Padres’ lead to 6-0 and came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Xander Bogaerts. The 31-year-old outfielder has yet to cool off, and after his three-hit attack he’s now hitting .335/.422/.522 with seven homers, 31 RBI and three stolen bases on the season.       Luis Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a walk, a triple, and an RBI in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

      Advice: Rengifo returned this weekend after being on the IL with an illness and was right back to the top of the batting order, which is good news for his fantasy value. His RBI triple in the seventh inning helped to pad the lead and his walk earlier in the game set him up for a stolen base attempt.     • Kwan (hamstring) could begin rehab assignment soon
      Guardians general manager Chris Antonetti told reporters Sunday that the hope is that Steven Kwan (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment in the next 7-10 days.

      Advice: Kwan was able to take batting practice Friday and has reportedly made steady progress from the hamstring strain that has sidelined him since the middle of May. The outfielder will likely need to play a handful of MiLB games, but then could be back hitting at the top of the Cleveland lineup around the start of June. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:39 am
