    • Vlad Jr. hits sixth home run Monday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Guerrero Jr.'s sixth of the season. He was back at first base after playing third base on Sunday. It would boost his fantasy value to add third base eligibility, but he’ll need a few more appearances at the hot corner for that. Guerrero Jr.'s average is up to .295 with an .808 OPS on the season. • Cleared for throwing
Gallen (hamstring) will begin a throwing progression Tuesday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Gallen appears to have his sights set on returning from the injured list when first eligible after being diagnosed with a right hamstring strain Friday. This will be a strong first step toward meeting that goal, and he should be cleared to resume mound work quickly considering he last threw off a mound Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:26 pm

    • Jackson Chourio heads back to bench Monday
Despite homering Sunday, Jackson Chourio is out of the lineup for Monday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: Weird. This makes three times in the last five games that Chourio has been excluded from the lineup in favor of Sal Frelick and Blake Perkins. One would think the Brewers would want him playing everyday somewhere. The 20-year-old is hitting .214/.257/.345 with six homers in 180 plate appearances this season. • Knocks three hits in loss
Soler went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: This was Soler's first multi-hit effort since May 22, and he went just 4-for-27 over the eight contests in between. The 32-year-old briefly got a look at leadoff in May, but he's since returned to the middle of the Giants' order. He's yet to find a groove for any extended period in 2024, slashing .215/.294/.372 with six home runs, 16 RBI, 22 runs scored and eight doubles over 48 contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:04 pm

    • Knocks sixth homer
Chourio went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Chourio belted a three-run shot during Milwaukee's four-run second inning. It was his first long ball since May 15, snapping a 12-game drought. During that stretch, he was 6-for-36 (.167) with just two extra-base hits. The highly touted prospect is still trying to find his footing at the MLB level; he's slashing .214/.257/.345 with 10 extra-base hits and a 10:49 BB:K through 52 games. • Cleared to start Wednesday
Singer (illness) is listed as the Royals' probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Guardians in Cleveland, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Singer looks to be in the clear on the health front after an unspecified illness left him feeling lethargic and unable to play catch Wednesday before the Royals opted to scratch him from his scheduled start Thursday against the Twins, according to ESPN.com. He apparently demonstrated enough progress over the weekend and shouldn't face any major workload restrictions when he takes the hill Wednesday. Through 11 starts this season, Singer has gone 4-2 with a 2.63 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 64:19 across 61.2 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:04 pm

    • Cruises to 10th save
Duran tossed a clean ninth, striking out one to pick up his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: After allowing a total of six baserunners and three unearned runs over his last three appearances totaling 2.1 innings, Duran ran into no such trouble Sunday, retiring the Astros in order to collect his 10th save in as many attempts. Though he's yet to blow a save since making his season debut April 30, Duran has not been as dominant with an 8.4 K/9 compared with rates of 11.8 and 12.1 over his first two big-league seasons. • Jackson Chourio has HR, three RBI in win
Jackson Chourio went 2-for-4 with a home run on three RBI in a 6-3 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Chourio got the Brewers on the board in the second inning by socking a three-run home run 385 feet at 102.5 mph off the bat. It was his sixth home run of the season, and he now has 19 RBI on the year. Chourio has an elevated strikeout rate which has helped keep his batting average down, but he has shown a fantasy-friendly profile with the six home runs and seven steals. It may not fully click this year for the 20-year-old, but the future is certainly bright. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:05 pm

    • Jhoan Duran gets 10th save against Astros
Jhoan Duran earned his 10th save with a perfect ninth against the Astros on Sunday.

Advice: Duran typically throws his 100-mph fastball 45 percent of the time, but he used it just once in a 17-pitch outing today. He struck out one and got a couple of routine outs while focusing on his curve and splinker. He’s now earned saves in seven straight appearances. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:21 pm
