The first baseman recorded his fourth straight multi-hit game, a span in which he's gone 9-for-19 with with three homers and 11 RBI.       Nolan Arenado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run against the Reds on Thursday.



      Advice: Arenado’s home run was his seventh of the season. He’s struggled mightily this year with a .258 average and .691 OPS. Arenado finished third in the National League MVP voting just two years ago, but has hit .262 with 33 home runs and 127 RBI in 218 games since then.

      Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and an RBI in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

      Advice: Suzuki didn't rack up the counting stats but he still had a solid effort in the win. He tallied his 11th double and second triple of the season, and he's now batting a solid .266 with a .796 OPS. Suzuki's game doesn't jump off the page, though he's been a steady contributor since he came over from Japan in 2022. The outfielder slashed .262/.336/.433 as a rookie, then followed that up with a .285/.357/.485 line last season. Suzuki is on pace for similar figures once again this year.       James McArthur tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Guardians on Thursday.

      Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a double, a home run and two RBI against the Yankees on Thursday.



      Advice: Guerrero Jr. started the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning and his solo home run in the sixth inning gave the Blue Jays a 9-2 lead. He’s hit a home run in four of his last six games and is 11-for-27 (.407) with 12 RBI in that time. Guerrero Jr. is hitting .289 with 11 home runs and 42 RBI on the season.

      Jordan Westburg went 1-for-4 with a two-run double against the Rangers on Thursday.



      Advice: Westburg was thrown out at third trying to stretch a double into a triple, but still drove in two runs to give the Orioles a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The 25-year-old infielder is hitting .286 with an .854 OPS and 48 RBI on the season.

      Seiya Suzuki doubled and tripled in an extra-inning victory Thursday over the Giants.

      Advice: Suzuki drove in a run with his triple in the third to give Chicago a 3-0 cushion. He’s now tripled twice in 2024, while the double was his 11th of the campaign.       Gallen (hamstring) could be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday against Oakland if he recovers well from Thursday's bullpen session, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

      Advice: Thursday's bullpen session will be the second one thrown by Gallen, who also has a couple of simulated games under his belt since he landed on the injured list.
