    • Kyle Tucker (shin) might require rehab assignment
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Saturday that Kyle Tucker (shin) might require a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Espada elaborated that Tucker might need some rehab games to get back up to speed if he doesn’t resume running at some point this weekend. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been out since early June recovering from a right shin contusion and has yet to resume baseball activities. There should be a clearer picture of his potential return timeline at some point in the coming days. It certainly doesn’t sound like he’s close at this juncture. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Slugs seventh homer
Ramos went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and two walks in Friday's 8-6 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Ramos collected his seventh multi-hit effort in 12 games in June. He's also posted five homers, 14 RBI and an 8:15 BB:K over that span. Ramos is up to a .314/.400/.529 slash line with seven long balls, 27 RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base over 140 plate appearances this season. He initially worked in the corner outfield spots, but the 24-year-old has started the last seven games in center field as he continues to solidify his place in the majors. • Heliot Ramos hits three-run homer in loss to LAA
Heliot Ramos hit a three-run homer and reached four times in a loss to the Angels on Friday.

Advice: In addition to the three-run homer, Ramos also singled and drew a pair of walks. The 24-year-old has been outstanding in 2024 after struggling in his limited MLB chances in the past, and the four-reach game has him slashing .314/.400/.529 in 121 at-bats. It’s time to take Ramos seriously, if you needed any convincing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:17 pm
    • Still not doing on-field work
Tucker (lower leg) won't play in Saturday's game against Detroit and has yet to participate in on-field activities, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Advice: There was initially optimism that Tucker would be able to return from the IL when first eligible Friday, but that doesn't seem imminent. The Astros could keep Tucker out through the weekend and activate him for a three-game road series against the White Sox that kicks off Tuesday if he shows some progress. • Kyle Tucker (shin) won’t be ready on Saturday
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Friday that Kyle Tucker (shin) will not be ready to be activated from the injured list on Saturday.

Advice: While he noted that Tucker is “moving in the right direction” he also admitted that Tucker is not doing baseball activities yet. While a return at some point over the weekend hasn’t been ruled out yet, it seems unlikely if he’s not doing any baseball activities yet. A more likely scenario has the 27-year-old superstar outfielder returning to action next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:10 pm

    • Day off Thursday
Happ is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Tampa Bay.

Advice: Happ has had a rough road trip, collecting just one hit in 21 at-bats. He'll rest for the final game of the trip as Mike Tauchman draws the start in left field for the Cubs. Rotowire.com Thursday, 1:31 pm

    • Homers off bench Wednesday
Robert hit a solo home run in his lone at-bat in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Robert was able to extend the contest with his game-tying blast in the ninth inning. The outfielder has four homers over eight games since he returned from a hip injury, but he's added just one other hit while posting a 3:13 BB:K in that span. He's up to six homers on the year with a .196/.250/.554 slash line through 60 plate appearances. Robert is still seeing steady rest given his lengthy injury history, though his power is a welcome addition to a fairly punchless lineup -- he already has the fourth most homers among White Sox batters this year. • Luis Robert Jr. slugs game-tying homer off the bench
Luis Robert Jr. went 1-for-1 with a solo homer against the Mariners on Wednesday.

Advice: Robert Jr. was on the bench for this one and entered the game as a pinch-hitter to lead off the top of the ninth. With the White Sox trailing by one run, he took Mike Baumann deep to tie things up. The 26-year-old outfielder is slashing .196/.250/.554 with six homers, nine RBI, and one steal across 60 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:22 pm
    • Sitting Wednesday
Robert isn't in the White Sox's lineup for Wednesday's game against Seattle.

Advice: Robert has slashed .148/.233/.481 with three homers and four RBI in seven games since returning from the injured list. He'll get a breather Wednesday while Corey Julks, Oscar Colas and Zach DeLoach start across the Sox's outfield. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:56 pm
