    • Shohei Ohtani goes deep in Dodgers’ rout of Braves
Shohei Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday in the Dodgers’ lopsided win over the Braves.

Advice: Ohtani connected for a third-inning round-tripper off Braves starter Bryce Elder and also added an RBI single in the ensuing frame. The 29-year-old two-way superstar has been phenomenal in his Dodgers debut so far, batting .345/.411/.633 with 28 runs scored, eight homers, 22 RBI and seven steals in 159 plate appearances. • Ejected from Saturday's win
Judge went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI before being ejected for arguing balls and strikes in the seventh inning of Saturday's 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Home plate umpire Ryan Blakney was generous with strike calls on pitches off the plate all day, and Judge's muttering as he walked back to the dugout after getting rung up for a second time got him tossed. Per Joe Trezza of MLB.com, it was the first ejection of Judge's career -- at any level of baseball. He still made an impact in the win, and while the 32-year-old slugger has had a slow start to the season, he's produced three multi-hit performances, two homers and six RBI in his last eight games. • Strong over 5.1 innings
Gausman (2-3) picked up the victory Saturday, tossing 5.1 shutout innings on three hits and two walks against the Nationals. He struck out eight.

Advice: The Nats made Gausman throw a season-high 112 pitches to get through his 5.1 frames, but the right-hander was able to keep them off the scoreboard. Gausman's eight strikeouts were his highest total this season, and he boasted a 48 percent whiff rate on his splitter. The righty's velocity remains down, but he's allowed just two earned runs over his last four starts and finally piled up some strikeouts in this one. Gausman is projected to face the Twins at home in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:10 pm
    • Kevin Gausman strikes out eight in win over Nats
Kevin Gausman struck out eight batters over 5 1/3 scoreless innings for the win against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Gausman has now put together four excellent starts after struggling through his first three. He scattered three hits and two walks, striking out a season-high eight batters on 14 whiffs. He pitched into the sixth, leaving with one out at 112 pitches. The 33-year-old right-hander will take a 3.78 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 31/8 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings into a start against the Twins in Toronto next Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:07 pm
    • Aaron Judge ejected for first time in career
Aaron Judge was ejected for arguing balls and strikes during Saturday’s game against the Tigers. He went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored before exiting.

Advice: That’s the first time Judge has been ejected from a game in his MLB career. Judge appeared to judge — pun intended — the pitch correctly, as the offering appeared to be quite a bit outside of the strike zone. Trent Grisham has taken over in center. It’s unlikely Judge will face further discipline. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:38 pm

    • Notches two steals Friday
Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI, two walks and two stolen bases Friday in a 4-3 extra-innings victory versus Atlanta.

Advice: Ohtani's first theft came in the third inning, and it led to Los Angeles' first run, as Will Smith followed with a two-out RBI single. It looked like Ohtani would be picked off in the eighth frame, but Matt Olson mishandled the throw to first base, allowing the Japanese superstar to make it to second base safely. Ohtani later came up with a huge hit in the bottom of the 10th, stroking a one-out single to center field to plate the tying run after Atlanta had scored in the top of the frame. Ohtani continues to put up big numbers for the Dodgers and for fantasy managers, as he's slashing .336/.405/.612 with seven homers, 20 RBI, 26 runs and seven steals (in seven attempts) through 153 plate appearances. • Slugs homer in victory Friday
Hernandez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 extra-innings win against Atlanta.

Advice: Offense was sparse for both teams until extra innings, and Hernandez's solo shot in the fourth held up as the decisive margin until Ronald Acuna tied the score with a solo shot of his own in the eighth. Hernandez's long ball was his seventh of the season -- he's tied with Shohei Ohtani for the team lead in that category and ranks third with 23 RBI. Hernandez has slugged at least 22 homers in every full campaign since 2018 and is well on pace to meet that mark again in his first season as a Dodger. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:40 am
    • Fighting slump
Seager went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 7-1 loss to Kansas City.

Advice: Seager delivered the Rangers' lone run with a single in the third inning. He's been mired in a slump and entered Friday's game batting .073 (3-for-41) with two RBI over the previous 11 games. Rangers general manager Chris Young took the long view when speaking with Kenndi Landry of MLB.com, indicating the club expected Seager to need some time to get going after undergoing hernia surgery in January. Young also feels there has been some bad luck, which speaks to the shortstop's .269 BABIP. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:57 am
    • Dazzles in victory
Cease (4-2) earned the win Friday against the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on three hits and no walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Cease continued his brilliant start to the season, generating 18 whiffs on 102 pitches. The former White Sox pitcher appears to have re-discovered his 2022 form, posting a 2.55 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 48:14 K:BB over 42.1 innings. Cease will look to keep rolling in his next start, scheduled to come against the Cubs in Chicago. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:10 pm
