    • Swats fifth homer
Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the Tigers.

Advice: The second baseman belted the game-winning homer in the eighth inning off Shelby Miller in a 2-1 victory, giving Atlanta its only lead of the night. The long ball was only the fifth of the year for Albies, and the 27-year-old has had trouble finding any rhythm at the plate in June, slashing .206/.227/.397 over 15 games this month. • Reaches base five times in loss
Chisholm went 2-for-2 with a triple, an RBI, a run scored, and three walks in Monday's 7-6 extra-innings loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Chisholm drove in the Marlins' first run with a two-out triple off Sonny Gray in the sixth inning. The Cardinals couldn't retire Chisholm in any of his five plate appearances, and he drew three walks in a game for just the second time in his career. The center fielder extended his modest hitting streak to six games, and he sports a .266/.336/.449 slash line with 10 home runs, 35 RBI, and 13 steals on the year. • Jazz Chisholm Jr. reaches base five times in loss
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-2 with an RBI on Monday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Chisholm walked three times in the extra-inning marathon, reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances, but it wasn’t enough as Miami lost for the eighth time in their last 10 games since June 7. He also delivered a game-tying RBI triple against Cardinals starter Sonny Gray in the sixth inning. The 26-year-old outfielder has played almost every game this season for Miami and boasts a .785 OPS with 10 homers and 13 steals through 71 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:28 pm

    • Fans six in no-decision
Fried allowed a run on four hits and three walks over 5.1 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out six during the win over Detroit.

Advice: Fried worked five scoreless frames until the Tigers finally broke through with a run in the sixth inning. He wasn't very efficient Monday, throwing 60 of 103 pitches for strikes while failing to complete six innings for the second straight outing. Fried dropped his ERA to 3.11 with a 76:27 K:BB through 84 innings. He's currently in line for a tough road matchup with the Yankees this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:18 pm

    • Albies hits game-winning home run Monday
Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Albies’ fifth of the season. His blast off Shelby Miller with two outs in the eighth inning was the difference in the 2-1 victory for Atlanta. Albies’ ISO is now .140 on the season, which is a far cry from the .233 ISO he had last year when he hit 33 home runs in 148 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:49 pm

    • Fried allows one run in no-decision
Max Fried allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Braves’ 2-1 victory over the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: Fried gave up four hits, walked three and struck out six. He left the game with two on and one out in the sixth inning, but Jesse Chavez escaped the jam without further damage. It was a solid start for Fried, though the Braves couldn’t provide him with any run support while he was in the game. He continues to have a nice season as he lowered his ERA to 3.11 with the effort. The 30-year-old left-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road this weekend.

    • Dodgers expect Betts (hand) to miss 6-8 weeks
The Dodgers’ current guess is that Mookie Betts will miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured left hand.

Advice: Sounds about right. The Dodgers will mostly go with Miguel Rojas at shortstop for now; manager Dave Roberts said he’d start three of the four games in Colorado this week. Enrique Hernández figures to get the nod in the other. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:23 pm

    • Likely to miss 6-to-8 weeks
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that the expectation is Betts (wrist) will be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The timeline is a rough estimate, as Roberts noted that much will depend on how Betts' fractured left wrist heals in the coming weeks. If Roberts' suggested timetable holds true, that means Betts will be out at least until late July. Miguel Rojas is expected to be the Dodgers' regular shortstop while Betts is on the shelf. • Will Smith moves into second spot in Dodger lineup
The Dodgers have Will Smith batting second in between Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman Monday in their first game since losing Mookie Betts.

Advice: Manager Dave Roberts indicated last night that Ohtani would lead off, but Smith jumping ahead of Freeman is a little bit of a surprise. It does make sense, particularly since it allows the Dodgers to go lefty-righty-lefty-righty at the top. Teoscar Hernández, as expected, is in the cleanup spot that’s typically been manned by Smith.
