Spencer Arrighetti surrenders five runs in loss
Spencer Arrighetti allowed five runs with four strikeouts over five innings in a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday.
Advice: The Yankees got to Arrighetti early, with Juan Soto taking him deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. Soto brought one more across with a single in the second. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton added a pair of solo homers in the third. Arrighetti hung in there for two more scoreless frames, ending his day after five. The 24-year-old right-hander has had a rough go so far this season, posting an 8.44 ERA, 2.02 WHIP, and a 25/13 K/BB ratio across 21 1/3 innings. He’s currently lined up for a start against the A’s in Houston next week.
