      Jorge Mateo (concussion) took part in infield practice prior to Sunday’s game against the Rays.

      Advice: Mateo is eligible to come off the 7-day concussion injured list before Monday’s game against the Rays. The infielder obviously isn’t required to be activated off the list, but participating in pre-game activities is a good sign. If Mateo is activated, Connor Norby is all but assuredly the name that will head down to Triple-A to make room for him on the roster. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:27 am

      Mateo (concussion) played catch on the field at Rogers Centre in Toronto on Thursday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

      Advice: Mateo was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list Monday after his teammate, Cedric Mullins, inadvertently hit him with the bat in the back of the helmet while in the on-deck circle. It's not clear yet whether Mateo will have a chance to return when first eligible June 10, but him being able to travel with the team and take part in some baseball activities is a encouraging sign.
