    • Kirby Yates earns eighth save vs. D-Backs
Kirby Yates earned his eighth save of the season in Tuesday’s win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Yates had to tightrope out of danger to earn the save in this one. The righty allowed a two-out walk to Eugenio Suárez only to see a single by Gabriel Moreno move Suárez into scoring position. Fortunately for Yates, a strikeout of Kevin Newman would end the game and secure the win for the Rangers, who have now won back-to-back games after dropping their previous six. • Tuesday's game postponed
Skubal won't start as scheduled Tuesday against the Pirates since the game has been postponed due to inclement weather, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The contest will be made up via a straight doubleheader Wednesday. The Tigers haven't officially announced their updated pitching plans, but Skubal should start one of those contests. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:12 pm

    • Pirates vs. Tigers postponed Tuesday due to rain
Tuesday’s game between the Pirates and Tigers has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: It’s fitting that only Mother Nature herself could prevent fantasy managers from watching a highly-anticipated pitcher’s duel on Tuesday evening between Detroit ace Tarik Skubal and Pirates electrifying rookie Jared Jones. It’ll be made up as a doubleheader on Wednesday instead with Skubal and Jones squaring off in the opening contest of the twin bill. It’ll be dynamic top prospect Paul Skenes taking the ball in the nightcap affair. Rotoworld Tuesday, 3:06 pm

    • Collects third win
Hudson (3-0) picked up the win Monday against the Cubs. He pitched two scoreless innings with three strikeouts, allowing one hit and no walks.

Advice: Hudson entered the seventh after Brewers starter Robert Gasser allowed consecutive singles to Seiya Suzuki and Cody Bellinger to begin the inning. The lefty reliever worked himself out of the jam, fanning two batters and inducing one popup. Hudson has been a stalwart in the Milwaukee bullpen, becoming manager Pat Murphy's most dependable southpaw, firing a 0.59 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB over 30.1 innings this season. • Secures seventh save
Duran picked up the save Monday against Kansas City. He pitched one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, allowing one unearned run on two hits.

Advice: Duran entered to collect the last out with runners on second and third and a four-run lead. The Twins reliever barely survived as a hit-by-pitch, two hits and a fielding error allowed three runs to cross. However, after all that chaos, Duran promptly retired Bobby Witt via a one-pitch groundout with runners on second and third to walk away victorious. The flamethrowing righty has secured the last four Minnesota saves, posting a 2.70 ERA and 3:1 K:BB over 3.1 innings during that span. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:28 pm

    • Roughed up in loss
Criswell (2-2) took the loss Monday against Baltimore, yielding seven runs (six earned) on six hits and one walk in four innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Criswell didn't allow a home run, but he gave up four doubles and a triple in his worst outing of the season thus far. The 27-year-old had not allowed more than three earned runs in any appearance before Monday, and his ERA ballooned from 2.86 to 3.96 as a result. The right-hander's two strikeouts Monday represented his lowest tally since April 18, and he will look to improve on that number in his next scheduled start, tentatively slated for this weekend against Detroit. • Jhoan Duran hangs on for one-out save Monday
Jhoan Duran notched a one-out save on Monday against the Royals.

Advice: Technically it’ll go down as the seventh save of the season for Duran as he came on to face MJ Melendez with the potential tying run in the on-deck circle. Things got interesting shortly afterwards as he wound up hitting Melendez with a two-strike pitch before ensuing batter Dairon Blanco followed with a run-scoring single that put the potential tying run on-base. A throwing error by third baseman Willi Castro allowed another run to cross the plate, making it a one-run ballgame in the process, before Duran retired Bobby Witt Jr. on a soft comebacker to end the contest. • Cooper Criswell hit hard in loss to Orioles
Cooper Criswell was torched for seven runs (six earned) over four innings on Monday in a loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Criswell served up six hits with extra-base hits from Jordan Westburg, Kyle Stowers and Cedric Mullins accounting for the majority of the damage against him. The 27-year-old righty has proved to be a viable temporary stopgap for the Red Sox, allowing three earned runs or fewer in eight of nine starts this season in the big leagues, but he might be a better fit as a swingman as opposed to a traditional starter in the long run. He’ll aim to rebound on Saturday when he faces the Tigers at Fenway Park. Rotoworld Monday, 12:41 pm

    • Plays catch
Eflin (back) was able to play catch Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Eflin was placed on the injured list with an effective date of May 19. He was projected to miss two-to-four weeks when first diagnosed, so he'll need to make significant progress quickly to hit the lower range of that timeline. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:13 am
