Over the long haul, the right-handed-hitting DeLuca could settle into a short-side platoon role, but expect him to continue playing at least semi-regularly until his bat cools. Soriano has a 1-4 record but has pitched well at times this season with two quality starts, though he's also given up four runs in three of his seven outings.       Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander is ready to make his regular season debut after suffering a right rotator cuff strain late in spring training. Olson is 0-4 on the year despite holding opponents to one earned run or fewer in five of his seven starts. He lowered his ERA to 2.52 with a 1.12 WHIP and 35:15 K:BB across 39.1 innings. With his recent struggles though, and Bryan Woo nearing a return from the injured list, there was no longer a spot for him in the M’s rotation.
