    • Yusei Kikuchi bounces back with six strong in victory
Yusei Kikuchi allowed just a run over six innings against the Orioles on Thursday to pick up a win.

Advice: Kikuchi struck out six while scattering four hits with just one walk. It’s a vastly improved effort from the one Saturday against the Pirates when the southpaw allowed six runs on nine hits in that loss. Consistency has never been Kikuchi’s forte, but outside of a solo homer allowed to Adley Rutschman, this was a reminder of what the 32-year-old is capable of. He’s lined up to face the Brewers next week. Rotoworld 37 minutes ago
    • On bench with lefty starting
Raley is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Raley will join fellow lefty-hitting regulars Dominic Canzone and Josh Rojas on the bench while the Athletics send southpaw JP Sears to the bump. Victor Robles will open the game in Raley's usual spot in left field in what will be the former's first start with the Mariners since he signed with the team Tuesday after being released by the Nationals. • Taking seat Thursday
Fry is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Fry will take a seat for Thursday's series finale, as he had been scheduled to head to the bench Wednesday before that game was postponed due to inclement weather. Though his 1.092 OPS on the season ranks first in the majors among all players with at least 140 plate appearances, Fry still hasn't quite locked down a full-time role in Cleveland. He'll be out of the lineup for the second time in three games while the Guardians go with Bo Naylor at catcher and Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am

    • Tallies three hits in victory
Volpe went 3-for-5 with a triple and two runs against Minnesota in a 9-5 win Wednesday.

Advice: Volpe was responsible for one-third of the Yankees' nine hits in the victory, and he scored twice from atop the team's lineup. It was the fifth time this season the second-year shortstop has collected three or more hits in a game. Volpe had a 21-game hitting streak snapped May 30, but he's picked things right up since then, building a five-game hitting streak during which he's batted .364 (8-for-22). • Corey Seager (hamstring) considered day-to-day
Rangers’ manager Bruce Bochy told reporters after Wednesday’s victory over the Tigers that the hamstring injury sustained by Corey Seager isn’t believed to be serious.

Advice: Bochy noted that his removal from Wednesday’s contest was a precautionary measure and Seager won’t even go for an MRI exam. It’s possible that he’ll get a day off to rest to be on the safe side, but he shouldn’t be looking at any sort of extended absence. Fantasy managers and Rangers’ fans can now breathe a tremendous sigh of relief. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:44 pm

    • Injury considered minor
Manager Bruce Bochy said after Wednesday's game that Seager's (hamstring) removal from Texas' win over Detroit was precautionary, and the team doesn't consider his injury to be anything serious, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: Bochy added that Seager will not receive an MRI, and the Rangers will instead wait to see how he feels after Thursday's scheduled off day before deciding whether or not to hold him out for a few games. Should the 30-year-old need to miss any amount of time, Ezequiel Duran would likely be the next man up to start at shortstop. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm

    • Anthony Volpe collects three hits in win Wednesday
Anthony Volpe went 3-for-5 with a triple and a pair of runs scored as the Yankees topped the Twins on Wednesday evening in New York.

Advice: Volpe led off the home half of the first inning with a single and came around to score the game’s first run on a ground ball off the bat of Aaron Judge. He also singled in the fifth inning and scored on Aaron Judge’s three-run triple. Volpe then smacked a three-bagger of his own in the eighth inning, but the Bombers couldn’t cash him in. He’s having an outstanding season atop the Yankees’ lineup — hitting .290/.355/.448 with six homers, 25 RBI and 11 stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:46 pm
    • Removed with hamstring injury
Seager was removed from Wednesday's game against the Tigers due to left hamstring tightness, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After extending his on-base streak to 28 games with an RBI single in the second inning of Wednesday's contest, Seager was grabbing at his hamstring before being replaced on first base by Ezequiel Duran. The Rangers will likely take Seager in for imaging, and more information on his status may come following Wednesday's game. The 30-year-old infielder has slashed .300/.395/.627 with 11 home runs and 21 RBI since May 1. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:04 pm

    • Corey Seager leaves game with apparent injury
Corey Seager was removed from Wednesday night’s battle against the Tigers in the second inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: Seager opened the scoring in the ballgame with an RBI single off of Joey Wentz in the second inning, but he pulled up lame at first base and ultimately hobbled off the field with the training staff. It’s unclear exactly what occurred, but he’ll head for further evaluation to determine the severity of the issue. Expect the Rangers to provide an update on his status shortly.
