    • Records quality start Thursday
Imanaga allowed three runs on five hits across six innings but did not factor into the decision in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants. He walked two and struck out three.

Advice: This was a nice bounceback effort for Imanaga, who allowed 10 runs in his last outing against the surging Mets. The righty had a sparkling 1.89 ERA before that implosion, but he's still sitting with a solid 3.07 mark across his first 15 starts at the MLB level. While it was unlikely that Imanaga would continue his early-season dominance, he should still be a strong fantasy option moving forward. He's tentatively lined up to start again Wednesday against a challenging Philadelphia lineup. Rotowire.com Today, 7:48 pm

    • Garcia hits RBI triple in win over Guardians
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a triple, and an RBI against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia tied the game at one with an RBI triple in the sixth inning and came around to score on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino. Those were the only runs the Royals scored on the night, but it was enough to squeak out a 2-1 victory. Garcia needs to have more of an impact if he’s going to retain his spot atop the Kansas City lineup for the rest of the season. He’s hitting .232 with a .629 OPS on the season. • Bryan De La Cruz plates three in win over Phillies
Bryan De La Cruz smacked a game-tying three-run double on Thursday, leading the Marlins to a 7-4 victory over the Phillies.

Advice: De La Cruz walloped a bases-clearing double to left-center field off Phillies lefty reliever Matt Strahm in the seventh inning to spark Miami to a come-from-behind victory. The 27-year-old corner outfielder figures to be a popular name at the trade deadline in a few weeks as he’s in the midst of the best year of his career with a .722 OPS along with 14 homers through 80 games. • Shota Imanaga gets quality start against Giants
Shota Imanaga allowed three runs in six innings of work in a no-decision against the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Imanaga allowed five hits while walking two and fanning three. It’s a marked improvement over his struggled against the Mets on Friday where he allowed 10 runs on 3 1/3 innings, but far from the excellence that we saw from the southpaw earlier in the year. It’s worth noting he threw five scoreless in this one, however, before a three-spot came across in the sixth. He still picks up a quality start while possessing a strong — if climbing — 3.07 ERA. Expect more good than bad from Imanaga in the second half of 2024. Rotoworld Today, 4:51 pm

    • Sitting Thursday
Canha is absent from Thursday's lineup against the Angels.

Advice: Canha had started Detroit's last 22 games but hit only .211 in that span. He had a 15.9 percent strikeout rate in that span -- lessening the reason for concern -- though he'll still get a day of rest. Gio Urshela is sliding to first base, Matt Vierling to third, and Adkil Baddoo enters the lineup in left field. Rotowire.com Today, 4:40 pm

    • Kyle Harrison will throw a bullpen on Friday
According to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Shayna Rubin, Kyle Harrison (ankle) will throw a bullpen on Friday.

Advice: Harrison was placed on the IL on July 16th, so the Giants could choose to activate him without needing a rehab assignment if the bullpen session goes well. We should find out more information later on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 11:30 am

    • Throwing bullpen session
Harrison (ankle) will throw a bullpen session Friday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Harrison resumed throwing on flat ground earlier this week and has now been cleared to try things from the bump. It's been more than two weeks since Harrison made a start, so it's likely he'll be asked to go out on a short rehab assignment once he's deemed ready. Rotowire.com Today, 11:17 am

    • Swipes two bags in win
Altuve went 2-for-5 with a run scored, two RBI and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The veteran second baseman pilfered multiple bags in a game for the first time since May 2 while racking up multiple hits for the 11th time in June. Altuve has been on fire this month, batting .333 (30-for-90) in 22 contests with three homers, five steals, 15 runs and 15 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:19 pm

    • Heading to bench Wednesday
Jimenez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Jimenez experienced a brief scare when he experienced some soreness in his hamstring in his first game back from the injured list in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Tigers, but he proceeded to serve as the White Sox's designated hitter in both of the first two games of the series with the Dodgers. He went 2-for-9 between the two contests, smacking a double while driving in a run. Jimenez didn't report any setbacks with the hamstring coming out of either game against the Dodgers, so he's likely just getting a planned day off Wednesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:53 pm
