    • Receiving Tuesday off
Raliegh is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Raleigh started the previous four games and will receive a day off after going 2-for-15 with two homers during that stretch. Seby Zavala will take over behind the plate and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:12 pm

    • Reds activate TJ Friedl for Tuesday return
Reds activated OF TJ Friedl from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Fantasy managers that held onto Friedl, today is the day. The 28-year-old, who had a breakout season last year with 18 homers and 66 RBI while slashing .279/.352/.467, returns to the Reds’ lineup after being on the injured list since the start of the season. He’ll be a major plus to the Reds’ offense and fantasy managers who have him rostered, but expectations may want to be simmered for at least the first few days as he gets back to major-league speed. • Officially activated
Friedl (wrist) was activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday.

Advice: Friedl has been cleared for big-league action after missing the first month and change of the 2024 campaign with a fractured right wrist. His reinstatement aligns with the start of a three-game homestand against the Diamondbacks, where he'll likely replace Stuart Fairchild as the Reds' primary center fielder versus right-handed pitching. In four rehab starts at Triple-A Louisville, Friedl went 4-for-16 (.250) with three doubles, three runs scored and a pair of RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 11:07 am

    • Coughs up three runs
Castillo (3-5) yielded three runs on three hits over 6.2 innings Monday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Twins.

Advice: Castillo fired four shutout frames before the Twins broke the scoreless tie in the fifth inning. He later was charged with two more runs in the seventh. Entering Monday's start, Castillo had turned in four straight outings with two or fewer earned runs allowed. He's factored into the decision in each of his eight starts and snapped his three-game winning streak Monday. Despite the up-and-down start to his season, Castillo has registered a solid 3.54 ERA with a 56:11 K:BB through 48.1 innings. His next start is currently projected to be at home against Oakland this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:55 pm
    • Luis Castillo pitches well, but picks up loss to Twins
Luis Castillo gave up three runs — two earned — over 6 2/3 innings in a loss Monday to the Twins.

Advice: Castillo allowed just an unearned run over the first six, but two more crossed the plate in the seventh. The right-hander struck out seven against three walks, and it was another solid outing for the 31-year-old right-hander. Castillo has a very friendly match-up coming over the weekend against the Athletics. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:52 pm
    • Picks up second win Sunday
Munoz (2-2) got the win against the Astros on Sunday, firing 1.1 perfect innings during which he recorded a strikeout.

Advice: Munoz continued what is turning into his best stretch of pitching this season, locating eight of his 11 pitches for strikes on his way to his ninth scoreless effort in the last 10 appearances, including his fifth straight. The right-hander has whittled his ERA and WHIP to 2.03 and 1.13, respectively, and he'd also recorded saves in three consecutive appearances before Sunday's victory. • Getting start at shortstop
Stott will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Monday's game versus the Giants, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Edmundo Sosa handled shortstop for the Phillies in the team's first two games without Trea Turner (hamstring), but Stott will man the position Monday while Whit Merrifield plays second base. Stott is making his first start at shortstop since Game 6 of the 2022 World Series. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:15 am

    • Game-winning long ball Sunday
Raleigh went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Astros on Sunday.

Advice: The 27-year-old cleared the fences for the second straight game, launching a tie-breaking homer in the ninth inning that would turn out to be the difference in the contest. Raleigh has now reached safely in four the last five games, but he's still carrying a lackluster .210 average and .288 on-base percentage across 118 plate appearances. • Hurt by long ball in loss
Fried (2-1) took the loss Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out seven over seven innings.

Advice: Fried quickly surrendered a two-run homer to Shohei Ohtani in the opening frame. He was able to settle in thereafter, blanking the Dodgers over the next four innings before Teoscar Hernandez got a hold of one in the sixth to make it a 4-0 ballgame. Sunday was Fried's first outing this year giving up multiple home runs, but he's also gone at least six innings in three straight while striking out at least six in all three appearances. The 30-year-old owns a 4.23 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 32:14 K:BB in 38.1 innings thus far and lines up to face the Mets in his next start. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:18 am
