    • Yanked early Friday
Lorenzen yielded two runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out one during the loss to the Giants.

Advice: Despite facing plenty of traffic on the basepaths, both runs allowed by Lorenzen were solo shots by Wilmer Flores. It was Lorenzen's shortest outing of the year and snapped his streak of four straight quality starts entering Friday. Since coughing up six runs against Oakland on May 8, he's registered a 1.50 ERA over his last five starts, lowering his season number to 3.05 through 59 innings. Lorenzen's next start is currently scheduled to be a road matchup with the Dodgers next week. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago
    • Ryne Stanek blows save, allows three runs
Ryne Stanek allowed three runs and blew a save while picking up a loss Friday to the Royals.

Advice: Stanek was handed a 9-7 lead in the ninth. It didn’t work out. The right-hander got another save chance with Andres Munoz (back) not available again, and he didn’t make the most of it. Stanek could be inline for save chances as long as Munoz is unavailable, but this is a very flawed — to put it mildly — fantasy option. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago
    • Daniel Lynch IV allows seven in first
Daniel Lynch IV went four innings while allowing eight runs, but didn’t factor into the decision against the Mariners on Friday.

Advice: Generally when you give up a seven-spot in the first, you take home a loss. The score would end up being 8-0 after he left, but Kansas City completed an epic comeback to prevent the L. Still, it was a terrible start for Lynch IV that saw him allow six hits and four walks, and he needed 93 pitches to get those 12 outs. A former top prospect, Lynch IV will get win chances with this Kansas City offense, but the lack of consistent success makes him hard to use in fantasy. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Bryce Miller struggles over five in no-decision
Bryce Miller gave up seven runs in five innings but didn’t factor in the decision against the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Miller was handed an 8-0 lead, but he nearly gave it all back himself. The right-hander walked three while allowing eight hits — including a three-run homer to MJ Melendez — and he struck out just one in his worst start of the season. Miller has mostly looked the part, but this one sees his ERA jump up to 3.81. There are still things hear to figure out before he’s an elite fantasy option. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Fires seven innings
Webb (5-5) allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Rangers.

Advice: Webb kept Texas off the board for four frames before the Rangers plated two runs in the fifth inning. Outside of that inning, he allowed just one baserunner. Webb threw seven innings in his last outing but saw his streak of four straight quality starts come to an end. With Friday's quality start in the books, he has 10 in his 14 appearances this season. Webb will carry a 2.92 ERA into his next start, which is lined up to be at home against Houston next week. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

    • Secures save
Doval struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Doval fired 10 of 15 pitches to quickly retire the Ragners' 3-4-5 hitters in order and finish off the 5-2 win. It was his first appearance since coughing up four runs against the Yankees on June 2. Doval has now converted 10 of his 12 save chances and Friday was his first successful attempt since May 24. Doval lowered his season ERA to 4.07 through 24.1 innings. Rotowire.com 43 minutes ago
    • Yohan Ramírez gets save in 11th inning
Yohan Ramírez recorded his seventh major league save by allowing only the automatic runner to score in the bottom of the 11th against the Yankees on Friday.

Advice: Evan Phillips was off limits tonight after throwing 31 pitches Thursday, so Michael Grove got the 10th and Ramírez pitched the 11th. It was his first save since the final day of the 2022 season, when he was working for the Pirates. He’s allowed three earned runs in nine innings since the Dodgers picked him up from the Mets last month. Rotoworld 44 minutes ago
    • Cody Poteet lifted from scoreless game in fifth
Cody Poteet blanked the Dodgers for 4 2/3 innings before being lifted Friday.

Advice: It was a scoreless game when Poteet exited, so the quick hook didn’t cost him a win. Poteet is 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA in three starts this season. His stint in the rotation might only last until Gerrit Cole returns, but he’s been a pretty great stopgap so far. Rotoworld 44 minutes ago

    • Delivers quality start
Allen allowed two runs on four hits and three walks over six frames in a no-decision Friday. He struck out three during the loss to Miami.

Advice: Allen served up back-to-back solo homers to Bryan De La Cruz and Josh Bell in the third inning but otherwise kept Miami's offense fairly quiet. It was a needed bounce-back after Allen was tagged with seven runs through 1.2 innings in his last appearance. He posted a 6.26 ERA in six May starts despite two of them being scoreless outings. For the season, Allen owns a 5.57 ERA and a 54:23 K:BB through 64.2 innings. His next start is projected to be in Toronto next weekend. Rotowire.com 59 minutes ago
