    • Active early in win
Suzuki went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Mets.

Advice: Suzuki opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning then stole second and scored in the same frame. He later added a double in the fifth. Suzuki is slashing .292/.395/.523 with seven-multi hit efforts in 65 June at-bats. The 29-year-old is contributing a bit of everything this season, slashing .269/.347/.461 with eight home runs, 28 RBI, 27 runs scored and seven steals through 197 at-bats. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

    • Jansen picks up 14th save against Reds Saturday
Kenley Jansen tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Jansen’s save was his 14th of the season. It was his fifth save in the month of June. After another scoreless inning, Jansen’s ERA is down to 2.49 on the season. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 pm
    • Castellanos belts 11th home run in win Saturday
Nick Castellanos went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Castellanos’ home run was his 11th of the season and went so far he started removing his protective elbow pad before he even exited the batter’s box. In all, he had a sacrifice fly, two-run home run and two-run double. Castellanos has struggled this season with a .225 average and .672 OPS, but the Phillies lineup still provides opportunities to drive in runs as he now has 37 RBI on the year. • Bailey Ober hurls complete game with 10 strikeouts
Bailey Ober threw all nine innings while allowing just two runs with 10 strikeouts in a 10-2 rout for the Twins over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Ober gave up a pair of solo homers, and outside of those roundtrippers the 28-year-old was brilliant. He didn’t walk anyone, and even with 10 strikeouts, the right-hander needed only 89 pitches for the complete game. The A’s offense is ever-so-beatable, but credit Ober for another fantastic pitching performance against Oakland. He’s lined up to face the Mariners in Seattle on Friday. • Wacha allows one in five innings in return from IL
Michael Wacha allowed one run in five innings and took the loss against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Wacha gave up three hits, walked one and struck out five. It was a good return to the mound for Wacha, who was making his first start since missing three weeks with a fractured left foot. Unfortunately, the Royals couldn’t provide any offensive support and he was saddled with the loss. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home next weekend. • Not starting Saturday
Burger isn't in the Marlins' lineup for Saturday's game against Seattle.

Advice: Burger will get a day to clear his head Saturday after going just 1-for-21 at the plate over his last five games. Emmanuel Rivera will take over at the hot corner and bat eighth in Burger's place. Rotowire.com Today, 11:07 am

    • Max Scherzer to make season debut on Sunday
Max Scherzer (back, thumb) will make his season debut on Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: The declaration comes directly from Scherzer, so we’re going to take his word for it. We’re still not sure why the decision was made to bump him back an extra day, but it doesn’t have significant fantasy ramifications. The 39-year-old veteran right-hander will make his season debut later this weekend after missing the first couple months of the year recovering from offseason back surgery and a thumb issue that cropped up during his rehabilitation process. He’s no longer an upper-echelon fantasy contributor, but he’s still capable of making an impact, when healthy, especially in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 9:38 am

    • Set for season debut Sunday
Scherzer (back/thumb) said Saturday that he'll return from the 60-day injured list to start in Sunday's series finale against the Royals, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: After completing his recovery from offseason back surgery in addition to moving past the thumb and forearm injuries that slowed down his rehab process, Scherzer was originally scheduled to make his 2024 debut Saturday. The Rangers ultimately elected to push Scherzer back another day, with manager Bruce Bochy opting to go with Jon Gray for the second game of the series. With Scherzer set to take the mound Sunday, Dane Dunning will be pushed back to start in Monday's series opener against the Brewers. After being acquired from the Mets ahead of the trade deadline last season, Scherzer went 4-2 over eight regular-season starts with the Rangers, posting a 3.20 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 53:15 K:BB in 45 innings. • Royals activate Michael Wacha for Saturday start
Royals activated RHP Michael Wacha from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Wacha will take the ball for Saturday’s matchup against the defending World Series champions at Globe Life Field following a three-weeks absence due to a fractured left foot. The 32-year-old righty has recorded a serviceable 4.24 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 56/20 K/BB ratio across 68 innings (12 starts) this season in his Kansas City debut. Rotoworld Today, 8:57 am
