Brayan Bello struggles in loss to Yankees Friday
Brayan Bello was hit hard in Friday night’s loss to the Yankees, surrendering five runs (four earned) on six hits over his 4 2/3 innings of work.
Advice: The right-hander also issued three free passes on the evening while striking out five. Former teammate Alex Verdugo delivered most of the damage against him in this one, clobbering a two-run homer in the opening inning and adding an RBI double in the fifth. Bello got seven swings and misses on 92 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 29 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he carries a 4.86 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 56/24 K/BB ratio (63 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
