      Advice: Ward put the Angels ahead with an RBI single in the 10th inning and then stole second. The Angels didn't add to their lead, but they were able to hold on. With just two multi-hit efforts in June, Ward has been a bit disappointing after he started the season in good form at the plate. He's slashing .240/.325/.419 with 12 home runs, three steals, 38 RBI and 35 runs scored over 73 contests, but just one of those long balls, but he has just three extra-base hits in June.       Estevez struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Estevez has not put a runner on base over his last eight innings, striking out eight and earning seven saves and a win in that span. A groundout moved the initial runner to third base in the 10th inning, but Estevez struck out the next two batters to protect the one-run lead. He's now 14-for-17 in save chances with a 3.38 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB over 24 innings. This is arguably the best Estevez has ever looked in the majors, which will boost his trade value, though he's unlikely to be a primary closer on a different team if a deal comes to fruition.       Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

      Advice: Lewis homered for the fifth time in his last six games, taking Joey Estes deep in the sixth inning. With 10 homers, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over just 16 contests this season, Lewis is enjoying a breakout campaign despite missing over two months with an injury.       Taylor Ward stole a base and drove home the game-winning run in the 10th against the Dodgers on Friday.

      Advice: Ward untied the game with an RBI single in the top of the 10th off Evan Phillips to give the Angels the lead and the (surprising) victory. The stolen base was just the third of the year for the 30-year-old outfielder.       George Kirby was left with a no-decision after seven innings of two-run ball Friday against the Marlins.

      Advice: Kirby was undone by back-to-back solo homers in the sixth. The first of those, off the bat of Bryan De La Cruz, would have been a homer in three ballparks, according to Statcast.       Carlos Estévez struck out two while picking up a save in a scoreless inning of work against the Dodgers on Friday.

      Advice: Estévez has been one of the few bright spots for the Angels this year, and now has 14 saves on the season and a 3.38 ERA. With Los Angeles nowhere near contention for a postseason spot, it would seem likely that the 31-year-old is pitching for a new team before August.       Royce Lewis homered and went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.

      Advice: Incredible. That’s Lewis’s 10th homer of the season, and it comes in just the 10th game of the season for the 25-year-old. He didn’t pick up any other hits and struck out twice, but it’s hard to care. What Lewis is doing right now is spectacular. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 pm

      Eovaldi (4-3) yielded two runs on four hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Royals.

      Advice: Eovaldi coughed up a solo shot to Kyle Isbel in the third inning and gave up one other run in the fifth. Since returning from the injured list, Eovaldi has produced a 4.01 ERA while going 2-1 through five starts. He's turned in two quality starts in his last three outings and forced 15 whiffs Friday, his best total since April 20.       Nathan Eovaldi snagged his fourth victory of the season on Friday night, limiting the Royals to two runs on four hits over his six innings of work.

      Advice: The 34-year-old right-hander punched out six batters on the night while allowing two walks. He served up a solo homer to Kyle Isbel in the third inning and an RBI single to Garrett Hampson in the fifth but was able to limit the damage otherwise. Eovaldi got 14 swings and misses on 98 pitches on the evening, posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll see if he can keep the good times rolling as he carries a 3.14 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and a 70/25 K/BB ratio (66 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Brewers in Milwaukee.
