• Has facial lacerations
Rosario has facial lacerations stemming from being hit by a pitch during Saturday's game against the Pirates and there's optimism that he avoided any fractures, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Rosario was removed from Saturday's game in the first inning after being struck in the face by a 99-mph pitch from Jared Jones. While Rosario sustained cuts on his face from the incident, initial reports suggest he avoided a serious injury. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:23 pm

  • Amed Rosario (face) leaves game after hit by pitch
Amed Rosario was removed from Saturday’s game against the Pirates in the first inning after taking a 100-mph fastball from Jared Jones off of his face.

Advice: Yikes. Fortunately, Rosario was able to walk off the field under his own power. It’s unclear where exactly the pitch clipped him on the left side of the face, or if it glanced off of the ear flap on his helmet first. Either way, he’ll head for further evaluation to determine the extent of the damage. The Rays should have an update on his status as soon as one becomes available. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:22 pm

  • Walks it off Friday
Anderson went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's extra-inning win over the Mariners.

Advice: The veteran shortstop ripped a walk-off single into left field off Austin Voth in the bottom of the 10th inning, although the Marlins got a bit lucky when Cal Raleigh couldn't come up with the throw to the plate, allowing Jake Burger to score. Anderson has been red hot of late, batting .405 (17-for-42) with seven multi-hit performances in the last 10 games, but he still carries a feeble .232/.257/.246 slash line on the season. • Picks up first big-league hit
Martinez went 1-for-3 in Friday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Getting his first career MLB start while batting eighth as the second baseman, Martinez poked a single up the middle to lead off the sixth inning for his first career hit, but the rest the Toronto offense failed to bring him around to score. The 22-year-old also committed his first career error, and defense remains the biggest obstacle between him and a regular spot in the lineup. Martinez seems likely to head back to Triple-A Buffalo once Bo Bichette (calf) gets healthy, but if the Blue Jays become sellers at the trade deadline, a permanent spot could open up in the majors for the top prospect. • Reaches base four times
Abrams (wrist) went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, an RBI, a stolen base and a walk in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Advice: Abrams returned to the lineup after missing the previous two games and wasted no time making an impact, ripping a double on the first pitch of the game. He knocked an RBI double later in the game. The 23-year-old shortstop is heating up again; he's gone 13-for-28 (.464) with six extra-base hits over his last eight games. In 12 games prior to that, he posted a .510 OPS with no multi-hit performances. Abrams is slashing .267/.320/.487 on the year with 33 extra-base hits and 11 steals. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:57 pm

  • CJ Abrams (wrist) returns to Nationals’ lineup
CJ Abrams (wrist) returned to the Nationals’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: The 23-year-old shortstop had missed the team’s previous two games due to a Ganglion cyst near his left wrist. He feels good enough to give it a go on Friday night though and will return to his customary leadoff spot in the lineup against Dakota Hudson and the Rockies at Coors Field on Friday evening. • Bo Bichette (calf) expects to return when eligible
Bo Bichette (calf) is hopeful that he’ll return from the injured list when first eligible on Tuesday.

Advice: The 26-year-old shortstop took ground balls, hit in the batting cages and ran the bases with the team in Cleveland on Friday. As long as he avoids any setbacks over the weekend, anticipate his stint on the injured list to be as short as possible. Rotoworld Friday, 3:10 pm

  • Says he's good to go
Abrams (wrist) said that he's "good to go" for Friday's game against the Rockies, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports

Advice: Abrams was scratched from Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks and missed Thursday's game before an MRI revealed he was dealing with a cyst in his left wrist. However, he'll be back in action for Friday's matchup with the Rockies. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:05 pm
