Clayton Kershaw goes four innings in rehab start
Clayton Kershaw had mixed results in Friday’s minor league rehab start at Triple-A Oklahoma City, giving up three runs on six hits over his four innings of work.
Advice: The 36-year-old left-hander struck out two batters on the night and didn’t allow a base on balls. He gave up a pair of runs in the first inning on a two-run double by Sam Huff, then served up a solo homer to Davis Wendzel in the fourth. Kershaw threw 67 pitches in the game (49 for strikes). Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts said earlier in the day that if things went well, Kershaw could rejoin the club’s rotation next week. We’ll see if that ends up being the case or not, though he’ll probably be limited to around 80 pitches his next time out — wherever it is.
