    • David Fry in Tuesday’s lineup at DH vs. Orioles
David Fry (elbow) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Orioles.

Advice: Fry is back in Cleveland’s lineup for the second straight contest after making an early exit from Sunday’s game agains the Blue Jays due to right elbow inflammation. It obviously doesn’t seem like a massive concern going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:11 pm

    • Smacks three hits in win
Ramos went 3-for-4 with a double and a walk in Monday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Ramos went 1-for-22 over his previous five games before breaking out of the slump emphatically in Monday's contest. The outfielder started June hot and has claimed an everyday role in center field. Overall, he's slashing .301/.375/.534 with 10 home runs, 35 RBI, 17 runs scored, one stolen base and eight doubles over 184 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:00 pm

    • Likely to miss 2-to-3 weeks
Reds manager David Bell said Monday that he expects Friedl (hamstring) to return from the 10-day injured list in 2-to-3 weeks, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Cincinnati placed Friedl on the IL on Monday after he aggravated a left hamstring strain in Sunday's 7-4 loss to Boston. The Reds called up Levi Jordan from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move to burnish their depth in the outfield, but Stuart Fairchild could be given the first opportunity to replace Friedl as the club's everyday center fielder. • Drawing start at DH on Monday
Fry (elbow) will start at designated hitter and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Fry's status heading into the series opener in Baltimore was somewhat murky after he was forced out of Sunday's 6-5 win over Toronto with right elbow inflammation, but the 29-year-old is apparently feeling well enough to stick in the lineup Monday in a non-defensive role. Once the elbow issue fully subsides, expect Fry to mix in behind the plate and in the corner outfield along with at DH as the Guardians make a concerted effort to keep his productive bat in the lineup. • Back to IL with strained hamstring
The Reds placed Friedl on the 10-day injured list Monday with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Friedl initially tweaked the hamstring a week ago and missed two games before returning to action, but he aggravated the injury in Sunday's 7-4 loss to Boston. The trip to the IL is the third this season for Friedl, who also missed time with wrist and thumb injuries. It's not clear how long he might be sidelined. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:14 pm

    • Reds put TJ Friedl on IL with hamstring strain
Resd placed OF TJ Friedl on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: This is Friedl’s third IL stint of the season. The center fielder had been in a little 2-for-23 slump while dealing with the injury originally suffered at the beginning of last week, but he’ll be missed at the top of the Reds’ lineup. Nick Martini and Stuart Fairchild will pick up at-bats in his place, with Will Benson likely to slide to center. Rotoworld Monday, 1:13 pm

    • Comes up clutch
Thomas went 1-for-4 with an RBI double, a run scored and a stolen base during Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Thomas spearheaded the Nationals' comeback, plating CJ Abrams with a game-tying double and then stealing third before scoring the go-ahead run on a Joey Meneses single. Thomas has generated at least one run and RBI in four consecutive games, going 7-for-19 with a pair of doubles, a triple and a home run during that stretch. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:44 pm

    • David Fry (elbow) considered day-to-day
David Fry is considered day-to-day after exiting Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays with inflammation in his right elbow.

Advice: It sounds like it’s just a minor issue and the 28-year-old slugger won’t require a trip to the injured list. While his pace has cooled over the last few weeks, Fry has still been a force in the middle of the Guardians’ lineup this season — slashing .312/.429/.526 with eight homers, 31 RBI and four stolen bases in only 189 plate appearances. • Lane Thomas has SB, game-tying RBI
Lane Thomas went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a steal in a win over the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Thomas had been hitless before doubling off Jalen Beeks in the ninth inning to tie the game at 1-1. He then stole third and came around to score on a single by Joey Meneses. Thomas got off to a slow start, but he has been good since coming off the IL, hitting .295/.341/.564 in June with five home runs, 17 RBI, 16 runs scored, and two steals. Congratulations if you were able to buy low while he was hurt. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:51 pm
