      Advice: Merrill singled in his first at-bat before crushing a three-run shot off Carlos Rodriguez in the fourth to put San Diego on the board. The shortstop would reach four times on the night and has now recorded multiple hits in three of his last four games.       Advice: The 23-year-old shortstop suffered the injury while making a sliding stop on a ground ball in the fourth inning on Saturday night. The severity of the injury — as well as how much time (if any) Neto may miss — remains unclear.       Zach Neto was pulled from Saturday night’s ballgame against the Dodgers due to an apparent leg injury.

      Advice: Neto made a sliding stop deep in the hole in the fourth inning, but when he got up to throw it looked as though his leg gave out on him. The 23-year-old shortstop also fouled a ball off of his leg earlier in the contest. He’ll head for further evaluation to see exactly what’s going on there.     • Jackson Merrill powers Padres past Brewers
      Jackson Merrill went 3-for-3, drew a walk and clobbered a three-run homer on Saturday, powering the Padres to a 6-4 victory over the Brewers in San Diego.

      Advice: Merrill smacked a one-out single off of Carlos Rodriguez in the second inning, but was ultimately stranded at third base. The 21-year-old outfielder then broke a scoreless tie with his mammoth 440-foot (105.9 mph EV) three-run blast to center field in the fourth inning. He also singled in the sixth.       Witt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Athletics.

      Advice: Witt provided the Royals' margin of victory with his eighth-inning blast. He's had an incredible June, hitting safely in 16 of 17 games. He's batting .347 with a .937 OPS, three home runs and five steals this month.
