The right-handed veteran would allow just one more hit over his final three frames, but the damage had already been done as the White Sox's offense failed to provide any run support.       Camilo Doval struck out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Cubs on Wednesday.

      Erick Fedde allowed four runs with five strikeouts over six innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Fedde served up a solo homer to Shohei Ohtani to lead off the first inning. He retired the next six batters before loading the bases with no outs in the third. Teoscar Hernandez drove a run in on a sacrifice fly before Freddie Freeman cleared the bases with a double. Fedde tossed three more scoreless frames, ending his day after six with five strikeouts.       Advice: Ryan's run of three straight quality starts came to a close, as Arizona got to him early Tuesday. All four runs on his line were surrendered over the first two innings, though he was able to settle down and exit at 86 pitches (58 strikes). This was the fourth time in 2024 that Ryan avoided walking a batter. He's now at a 3.31 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 100:15 K:BB over 98 innings through 16 starts.     • Joe Ryan can’t overcome bad start versus D-backs
      Joe Ryan yielded four runs in six innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks.

      Matt Waldron pitched six innings of two-run ball Monday against the Nationals.

      Advice: Waldron struck out eight in a sixth straight quality start. He threw the knuckler 46 times tonight and wound up with nothing but soft contact against the pitch. There’s still not a whole lot to like about the rest of his arsenal, but the knuckleball has come far enough this year to make him a fine bet going forward. Rotoworld Monday, 10:20 pm

      Waldron allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Monday.

      Advice: Waldron rattled off his sixth straight quality start, and he's gone nine outings without allowing more than two runs. The run support wasn't there for him Monday, leaving him to take his fifth no-decision of the season. Waldron is at a 3.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 84:27 K:BB over 89.1 innings through 16 starts.       Bradley came away with a no-decision Monday against Seattle, allowing one earned run on two hits and four walks while striking out eight over 5.1 innings.

      Advice: The only run given up by Bradley came on a fourth-inning home run by Cal Raleigh. The right-hander yielded just two hits, but the four walks are a season worst, and he has now walked multiple batters in six of his past seven starts. The 23-year-old has an excellent 10.8 K/9 (91st percentile), but he will need to minimize free passes to stay consistent.
