    • William Contreras hits three-run blast vs. Astros
William Contreras connected on a three-run homer to help the Brewers to a 4-2 win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Contreras absolutely shellacked a Justin Verlander offering to center — travelling an estimated 428 feet — to give the Brew Crew a 4-1 lead. The 26-year-old backstop has been sensational in 2024 with seven homers, 37 RBI and an OPS of .990. That’s a star level of offense even before you consider that he’s doing it as a catcher. • Tosses quality start Saturday
Gausman came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Rays, giving up three runs on eight hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The veteran right-hander cruised through five innings before running into trouble in the sixth and allowing all three of his runs. It was a solid bounce-back effort for Gausman after he got tagged for seven runs (six earned) in his last outing, and the quality start was his third of the season. He'll take a 4.89 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 43:11 K:BB through 42.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Detroit. Rotowire.com Today, 6:34 pm

    • Not sharp versus Mets
Garrett took a no-decision Saturday against the Mets, getting charged with six runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Garrett looked out of sorts from the jump, hitting two batters with pitches while allowing three hits and two runs in the first inning. He did start to settle in a bit after that, but Garrett was pulled with the bases loaded and one out in the fifth and then watched all three inherited runners cross the plate. It's been two straight duds from Garrett since he's come off the injured list. Better days are surely ahead, but it will be difficult for fantasy managers to trust him next week in Arizona. • Garrett shaky again Saturday
Braxton Garrett allowed six runs, seven hits and a walk in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: It was Garrett’s second start since coming off the injured list. He’s allowed at least five runs in both of his starts and his ERA is up to 10.24. The silver lining is that Garrett has 13 strikeouts in 9 2/3 innings this year. The 26-year-old left-hander is scheduled to face the Diamondbacks on the road next weekend, but he should be left on the bench for now.

    • Yandy Díaz reaches five times in win vs. Toronto
Yandy Díaz went 3-for-3 with a run scored and two walks against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Díaz started his day with a single to lead off the first inning. He added a base hit in the third and led off the sixth with his third hit before scoring on a single by Amed Rosario. Díaz reached again in the seventh on a walk and drew another walk in the eighth to reach base in all five plate appearances. The 32-year-old first baseman ends the day hitting .263/.330/.360 with three homers and 23 RBI across 206 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:00 pm

    • Kevin Gausman goes six innings in no-decision
Kevin Gausman allowed three runs with six strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Gausman had worked around four hits through five scoreless frames before the Rays would get to him in the sixth. Two base hits and a walk would load the bases with two outs. Amed Rosario knocked a single to plate two runs. José Caballero followed with a single to bring in one more before Gausman got out of the inning. He struck out six. The 33-year-old right-hander will take a 4.89 ERA, 1.51 WHIP, and a 43/11 K/BB ratio across 42 1/3 innings into a start against the Tigers in Detroit on Thursday. Rotoworld Today, 2:56 pm

    • Getting rare day off
Betts isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.

Advice: After starting 47 consecutive games and posting an incredible .341/.440/.562 slash line to begin the year, Betts will step out of the lineup for the first time all season. Miguel Rojas will instead start at shortstop while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:12 pm

    • Remains out Saturday
Garcia (heel) isn't in the Nationals' lineup Saturday against the Phillies.

Advice: Garcia was a late scratch from Friday's lineup due to a heel injury, and he will take another day to recover Saturday. Ildemaro Vargas will fill in at the keystone and bat second. Rotowire.com Today, 12:32 pm

    • Luis García Jr. (heel) out Saturday vs. Phillies
Luis García Jr. (heel) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: No surprise here to see Garcia getting some time off to rest and recover for the second straight contest after suffering a right heel injury earlier this week against the White Sox. It’ll be veteran Ildemaro Vargas handling the keystone in his absence. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 11:33 am
