    • Carlos Rodón goes six in defeating former team
Carlos Rodón pitched six innings of two-run ball and struck out six Sunday as the Yankees topped the White Sox 7-2.

Advice: Rodón got 23 missed swings today, with seven of those coming on the 18 changeups he threw. Rodón had been throwing the changeup just six percent of the time this season, and if he can continue to get results with that pitch, he’ll be considerably more dangerous. As is, Rodón is already 5-2 with a 3.27 ERA. Still, his peripherals haven’t backed up the ERA to date. Rotoworld Today, 2:50 pm

    • Tanner Bibee stellar across seven innings
Tanner Bibee struck out eight over seven innings in the Guardians’ 5-2 win over the Twins on Sunday. He scattered four hits, walked one, and allowed one earned run in a no-decision.

Advice: Bibee has struggled relative to expectations out of the gate this season but he was fantastic on Sunday. A José Miranda home run was the only blemish on his ledger as he kept the Twins off-balance all afternoon with a heavy diet of his signature slider. His average fastball velocity also trickled up to 96 MPH, his highest by a full tick in any start this season. Rotoworld Today, 1:17 pm

    • Dominant in first win
Buehler (1-1) earned the win over the Reds on Saturday, striking out seven over six shutout innings while allowing three hits.

Advice: Buehler looked like his old self for the first time since returning from the injured list, allowing just one single over the first four innings and one extra-base hit on the night while posting a season-high seven strikeouts. The right-hander hadn't gone more than four innings in either of his previous two starts to open the campaign and had also allowed at least one home run in each of those outings. However, Buehler might have found his groove Saturday, as he managed to get through six frames on just 78 pitches while also allowing just three hits, which marked a season low. • Walker Buehler beats Reds for first win since ’22
Walker Buehler recorded seven strikeouts over six shutout innings on Saturday against the Reds for his first win since May 24, 2022.

Advice: Buehler authored his strongest start since returning earlier this month from a lengthy rehabilitation from his second career Tommy John surgery, scattering just three hits over six nearly-flawless frames. The hard-throwing 29-year-old righty generated only eight swinging strikes, but was consistently filling up the zone, resulting in a robust 35 percent CSW. He’s starting to look like an upper-echelon fantasy contributor again, but it’s probably going to take him some time to continue knocking off the rust. He’s in line for a rematch against the Reds on Friday in Cincinnati. Rotoworld Today, 3:43 am
    • Reaches base five times
Diaz went 3-for-3 with two walks and a run scored Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Diaz has gotten on track at the plate across the last two weeks, with Saturday's performance marking his eighth multi-hit performance across his last 15 games. He's gone 23-for-63 with 12 RBI and 10 runs scored, also chipping in a pair of home runs. Overall, Diaz owns a 106 wRC+ but just a .097 ISO across 206 plate appearances for the season. • Nearing return
Jones (back) is expected to be recalled from his rehab assignment following Sunday's game with Triple-A Albuquerque, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones has appeared in three games with Albuquerque, starting twice in left field and once at designated hitter. He's lined up for a fourth appearance Sunday and will rejoin the big-league club as it travels to Oakland. Assuming all goes according to plan, it appears that Jones will be activated for the first game of the series Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:43 pm

    • Yandy Díaz reaches five times in win vs. Toronto
Yandy Díaz went 3-for-3 with a run scored and two walks against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Díaz started his day with a single to lead off the first inning. He added a base hit in the third and led off the sixth with his third hit before scoring on a single by Amed Rosario. Díaz reached again in the seventh on a walk and drew another walk in the eighth to reach base in all five plate appearances. The 32-year-old first baseman ends the day hitting .263/.330/.360 with three homers and 23 RBI across 206 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:00 pm

    • Gets breather Saturday
Mountcastle isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Mountcastle will get a day to regroup Saturday after going 1-for-16 across his last four games. While he sits, Ryan O'Hearn will pick up a start at first base while Anthony Santander serves as Baltimore's DH, opening up a spot in the outfield for Austin Hays. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:32 am

    • Swipes two bags Friday
Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases Friday in a 3-1 win against Atlanta.

Advice: Bogaerts doubled his season stolen-base total with a swipe of second in both the fifth and eighth innings. Prior to Friday, the second baseman's most recent theft took place April 22. Bogaerts has had a subpar start to the season with a .220/.268/.319 slash line through 194 plate appearances, but he's begun to come on of late, batting .350 with two homers and two RBI during his current five-game hitting streak.
