    • Provides lone run in loss
Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Seager's solid May continues -- he has gone 17-for-64 (.266) with four homers and nine RBI over 17 contests this month. The shortstop provided the Rangers' lone run against Jose Soriano. Seager's had a down year across the board with a .247/.338/.371 slash line, six homers, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored and three doubles through 44 games. The bright side is his 11.8 percent walk rate, which is the highest it's been in his three years as a Ranger. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:55 pm

    • Corey Seager homers in loss to Angels
Corey Seager went 1-for-2 with two walks and a solo home run in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.

Advice: Seager’s home run was a 352-foot shot at 101.9 mph off the bat that actually had an xBA of just .250, but he’ll take it. He’s now up to six home runs on the season and his .247/.338/.371 triple slash is certain to rise as he gets going, but it’s been a disappointingly slow start for the 30-year-old. • Not starting Sunday
Winn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Veteran Brandon Crawford will take over at shortstop against righty Nick Pivetta, affording Winn a breather. The 22-year-old Winn has put together an eight-game hitting streak, raising his slash line to .281/.340/.383 with one homer and seven steals through 41 games this season. • Masyn Winn gets Sunday off vs. Red Sox
Masyn WInn is not in the starting lineup against the Red Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Winn will get a day off despite currently holding a nine-game hitting streak. The 22-year-old will get a break with Brandon Crawford getting the start at shortstop and hitting seventh. Nolan Gorman will also get the afternoon off against Nick Pivetta with Brendan Donovan handling second base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 am

    • Masyn Winn collects first homer of 2024
Masyn Winn’s first homer of the season with was a two-run shot off Boston’s Cam Booser in Friday’s win.

Advice: Winn hit the ball 402 feet, which was far and away his longest drive of the season. He previously had a 379-foot double off Sean Manaya, but he hadn’t hit anything else over 350 feet in 142 plate appearances. Winn has been perfectly solid in batting .280/.343/.384 this year, but his profile doesn’t suggest that he’ll be hitting many more homers in his first full season. Rotoworld Friday, 11:52 pm

    • Hits first homer of season
Winn went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 10-6 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Winn has done a lot of things right this season, but he didn't have a homer until he took Boston reliever Cam Booser deep in the sixth inning. The shortstop has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, going 11-for-34 (.324) in that span. Winn is up to a .280/.343/.384 slash line with 10 RBI, 12 runs scored, seven stolen bases, six doubles and three triples through 142 plate appearances in an everyday role. • Goes yard again
Seaver went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 7-4 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Seager took advantage of the Globe Life Field roof being open, swatting a solo home run off Ben Lively in the third inning. The shortstop has hit three home runs in his last eight games and is batting .267 with six RBI and an 11.4 percent K rate during that stretch. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:24 am

    • Picks up steal Tuesday
Winn went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: The Cardinals tried a new look Tuesday, with Winn hitting atop the order. It didn't go particularly well for him on an individual level, but the team did win and he logged a theft. Winn is 9-for-27 (.333) over his last eight games, adding two steals and two doubles in that span. The shortstop is slashing .280/.341/.364 with no home runs, seven steals, eight RBI and 11 runs scored over 38 contests on the year. It's unclear if Winn will continue to get looks at leadoff, but his speed and contact abilities likely make him a better option there than Matt Carpenter or Brendan Donovan, at least against southpaws. • Masyn Winn leading off Tuesday against Halos
Masyn Winn is leading off on Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Winn gets a shot in the leadoff spot for the first time this season following a pair of multi-hit performances. The 22-year-old is off to a nice start this season, batting .283/.346/.372 with zero homers and six steals in 129 plate appearances. The lack of over-the-fence pop so far is a concern, but the on-base skills have been there. The bump up to the leadoff spot on a regular basis might be enough for him to make an impact for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:55 pm
