• Ricky Vanasco heading back to Triple-A Oklahoma City
Dodgers optioned RHP Ricky Vanasco to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Vanasco will head down with Landon Knack coming up from Triple-A to make a start against the Reds. The 25-year-old will likely be up-and-down for the Dodgers as long as he’s a member of the organization. Rotoworld Today, 10:04 am

  • Ryan Pressly (finger) throwing bullpen Sunday
Ryan Pressly (finger) is throwing a bullpen session before Sunday’s game against the Brewers.

Advice: Pressly has been unavailable due to a finger issue, but the right-hander could be available in the late innings for Houston if the bullpen session goes well. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 9:21 am

  • José Urquidy (forearm) making one more rehab start
José Urquidy (forearm) allowed four runs over four innings with two strikeouts in a rehab start for Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday.

Advice: Urquidy threw 59 pitches in the contest. The line isn’t great, but the more important thing is that he came out of the outing healthy. The right-hander will make at least one more rehab start and then he’ll likely rejoin the Houston rotation near the end of May. Rotoworld Today, 9:19 am

  • Escobar: Edwin Díaz’s role with Mets is ‘fluid’
Mets manager Carlos Escobar told reporters that Edwin Diaz’s role with the Mets is “fluid.”

Advice: Fluid, by definition, is not very concrete. Díaz has been horrific over the last week, as he’s seen his ERA jump up to 5.50 from the 2.13 mark he had entering the month by allowing runs in three consecutive appearances. The 30-year-old looked the part prior to these struggles and it’s worth noting he’s a hurler who missed all of 2023 thanks to a fluke injury. Díaz probably won’t be on the mound for the next save chance for the Mets, but New York is going to do everything in its power to try and get the right-hander back on track. Rotoworld Today, 8:45 am
  • Notches second win Saturday
Stanek (2-0) got the win against the Orioles on Saturday, firing a scoreless two-thirds of an inning while recording a strikeout.

Advice: The hard-throwing reliever finished out the seventh inning after Gabe Speier had put two men on via a hit and a walk, retiring Adley Rutschman and Ryan O'Hearn via a strikeout and groundout, respectively, to preserve a 2-2 tie. Stanek eventually became the pitcher of record when the Mariners took a lead in the top of the eighth that held for the last two frames, giving him his second win of the campaign. The veteran right-hander pitched to an unsightly 9.00 ERA across the seven appearances he logged between April 25 and Monday, but he's now generated consecutive scoreless outings. • Tommy Kahnle (shoulder) could return Wednesday
Yankees manager Tommy Kahnle believes that Tommy Kahnle (shoulder) could return Wednesday.

Advice: Kahnle will make a rehab appearance Sunday, and if all goes well, the 34-year-old could be a helper for the Yankees bullpen in the middle of the week. Kahnle has dealt with a plethora of injury issues over the past few years, but when healthy, he’s been an effective option. Rotoworld Today, 8:30 am

  • Recalled by Minnesota
Boushley was recalled Sunday from Triple-A St. Paul.

Advice: The right-hander will be sent up to the Twins while Jay Jackson was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Boushley recorded a 4.54 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 38 strikeouts across 41.2 innings with Triple-A St. Paul and should fill a low-leverage role while up in the majors. Rotowire.com Today, 8:24 am
  • Gets designated for assignment
Jackson was designated for assignment by the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: The veteran reliever will be removed from the 40-man roster to free up space for right-hander Caleb Boushley, who was recalled by Minnesota in a corresponding move. Jackson will likely pitch for Minnesota's Triple-A affiliate in St. Paul if not picked up by another team. Rotowire.com Today, 8:18 am
