      Teoscar Hernández hit a solo homer while going 2-for-4 in a win over the Marlins on Monday.

      Advice: He also singled. It’s the ninth homer of the season for Hernández, and one of four the Dodgers hit off Marlins starter Roddery Muñoz in Monday’s victory. The outfielder has also driven in 26 runs over 37 games with a decent — if unspectacular — slash of .259/.325/.490. So far, so good in Hernández’s first season as a member of the Dodgers.     • Walker Buehler goes four innings in season debut
      Walker Buehler allowed three runs over four innings in a start Monday against the Marlins.

      Advice: He allowed six hits with no walks, and he struck out four. Buehler didn’t get deep enough to qualify for the win, as he threw 77 pitches in his first start since June of 2022. The right-hander gave up a pair of run-scoring singles in the first and a homer to Nick Gordon in the second, but Buehler settled down nicely over the final two innings, and showed flashes of the ace hurler he was prior to Tommy John surgery.       Luis Campusano went 2-for-4 with a three-run double on Monday, leading the Padres to a 6-3 victory over the Cubs.

      Advice: Campusano capped off a six-run sixth inning for the Padres with his bases-clearing double. It would end up being the deciding factor in the victory.       Advice: Duran was called upon to face the Mariners' 9-1-2 hitters in a 3-1 contest. Duran is the primary closing option in Minnesota but it appears there may be more of a committee than expected. Last season, he converted 27 of 32 saves and picked up only one hold.       Advice: As expected, Buehler will toe the rubber Monday evening in his first MLB action since undergoing Tommy John surgery in August 2022. He cruised through five innings April 30 during his final rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City, surrendering one run while fanning five batters, but even so, expect the club to keep a close eye on the right-hander's pitch count in the series opener.       Advice: After he was pulled from Saturday's 20-4 win over the Marlins with a wrist injury, Ruiz was sent in for an MRI, but the imaging evidently revealed nothing concerning. The speedy outfielder will slot back in atop the lineup with Oakland facing a left-hander (Andrew Heaney) on Monday, but Ruiz still looks as though he'll be limited to a short-side platoon role that will limit his opportunities to play against right-handed pitching.       Advice: Buehler will get a chance to make his first start in 20 months after recovering from Tommy John surgery.
