  • Giants recall Tyler Fitzgerald on Tuesday
    Giants recalled INF/OF Tyler Fitzgerald from Triple-A Sacramento.

    Advice: Fitzgerald is back with San Francisco after launching six homers in six games over the last week for Triple-A Sacramento. The 26-year-old figures to come off the bench for the Giants as extra depth moving forward.     The Giants recalled Fitzgerald from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

    Advice: Fitzgerald was sent to the minors May 20 following the addition of Ryan McKenna from Baltimore. However, Fitzgerald has gone 11-for-25 with six homers and 13 RBI in just six games since joining Sacramento, so the Giants will bring him back up to the majors and look to take advantage of his hot bat. The 26-year-old owns a .269/.309/.442 slash line in 55 MLB plate appearances this year, and his return will cause the dismissal of McKenna, who was DFA'd in a corresponding move.     Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's victory over the Cubs.

    Advice: Adames popped his first home run since May 7 when he crushed a 427-foot, three-run shot off Hayden Wesneski in the eighth inning. The Brewers shortstop hopes the homer turns his month around, as he entered the game slashing .213/.253/.404 over 99 plate appearances in May.   • Adames blasts eighth home run Monday
    Willy Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run against the Cubs on Monday.



    Advice: Adames came to the plate with two men on and one out in a 1-0 game in the eighth inning. He blasted a Hayden Wesneski offering to center for a no-doubt home run. The home run was Adames’ eighth of the season and he already has a career-high eight stolen bases.

  • Masyn Winn leads off against a lefty
    Masyn Winn is in the lineup as the lead-off hitter on Monday against a left-handed starter.

    Advice: This is the second straight game against a lefty that the Cardinals have hit Winn lead-off while Brendan Donovan sits on the bench. The 22-year-old has been great in May, slashing .299//.324/.478 with two home runs, eight RBI, and three steals in 18 games while posting just a 10 percent strikeout rate. Winn has made two other starts in the leadoff spot this season but has primarily hit in the bottom third of the order. The shortstop has clubbed six homers over his last six games and is now at 11 long balls on the year. He's also gone 13-for-37 (.351) during a 10-game hitting streak.
